I added the Maldives banning Israelis as extra info after the NYT article (about supposedly Trump backing off striking Iran). The Maldives publicly banning Israelis is signaling their aligning against Israel. Turkey signaled aligning with the Maldives by donating a military ship. The US striking Iran by flying from Diego Garcia has to take the Maldives into account.

We don't know what ships, or planes of what various countries are now hanging around the Indian Ocean. They could be searching for the Red October or Malaysian Air flight 370 for all I know.

And, dooming? I'm glad it seems like war with Iran is less likely. That is the opposite of dooming. You might be bummed out Israel might not get to drag the US into a war, but I'm happy about it.

Always has been. Can confirm being Utahn. Even before the pioneers, you had the Injuns here worshiping the Great Spirit and shit.

I'd argue it's because a lot of the American west was settled by people seeking religious freedom, at least at first. It kinda devolved in to crystal shit over time. Area 51 doing stuff with prototype jets didn't help with the kooks.

Are you suggesting that a Iranian friendly nation, just put putting in the Indian Ocean, a massive stretch of water, has ships advanced enough to not only locate a B-2 on radar but get a target lock, launch a missile that can reach 50,000 feet or higher, and hit the B-2, which is equipped with the best stealth and electronic warfare systems the US has to offer? Lol lmao.

There's a lot of rules about when, how much, and where you can use that money. Most is designated for shit and can't be moved around so only about 1/4th would be usable like that which they'd burn through really quick
