Jesus, as a historical person, was not only tesified to by his followers, several Romans, Greeks and other Jews also wrote about him.
The crucifixion atleast is sourced pretty well, even though one of the most famous texts of Josephus Flavius is partly in doubt.

What he should have done instead is argue that historical Jesus, his teachings and his person, changed and morphed over time while spreading over the different cultures in the Middle-East, Anatolia and Greece.
Or that the theological Interpretation of the Evangelists and Paul had more influence on early Christianity than Jesus' teachings.

Anyway, thinking that someone living 2000 years ago would have anything than complete and utter opposition to every aspect of American Progressivism is ludicrous.

Disputing the historicity of Jesus is to history what flat earth is to astronomy. It's such an utterly discredited "theory" that I'm honestly surprised Patrick ran with it; his takes usually give me the impression that he briefly skims a wiki page to get a picture of the lib consensus on the topic, and then regurgitates it in his usual insufferable tone.
