Oh, I'm so curious what is required in MN, an at-will employment state, where you can quit or be let go for any reason (other than unlawful, discriminatory, or retaliatory reasons), and the labor department says this:TV's Wil Herren chimes in with his brilliant take (among other anti-Toe tweets):

Notice of separation
No notice of separation is required by law, by either party, upon separation of an employee for any reason. Courtesy and time to collect accrued benefits are reasons why notice is given.
A terminated employee can, within 15 days, request a written reason for termination (and employer has 10 days to provide it.
Did April stop working or showing up? Was it basically understood between them that she was no longer working there? Did he pay her final wages as required?
Because if so, no obvious concerns from any lack of "official" "firing."
Let me guess: Wil got his legal information from Nick.
