This is something I don't understand about the Overwatch fan base (and Tumblrized fandoms in general), they have a game with a diverse range of races, nationalities, body types, equally male and female, and gay representation, and it still isn't enough. General diversity isn't good enough, it has to be hyper-specific diversity they demand and if they don't get it they'll bastardize the canon into something they want via ridiculous headcanons.

I don't see anything suggesting that's Hermione other than the Gryffindor tie. It very well could be the artist's OC.

And it's a pretty normal and dignified portrayal of a black person, which is unusual for SJW art.

Yeah, even if this is racebent Hermione (as opposed to young black Hermione from that play), the picture seems perfectly fine depiction of the character. I feel this thread should be more about the worst examples of SJW art (tumblr nose, ugliness, racebending in such a way to make the character unrecognizable, obnoxious gender/transgender bending, etc), rather than any depiction that might theoretically be SJW-esque.

The autism thing is weird but within it's own context there's nothing offensive or sanctimonious about this art. I'm aware of Rowling's lame "of COURSE Hermione can be black!" pander tweets but we have no idea if this is really about that. If this pic included the notes or whatever and it's full of autistic screeching then you'd have a point. But if you have to ream through the art to find something obnoxious about it then it's not really in the same league as the blatantly racist caricatures and genderbent nonsense this thread was made for.

I don't care about it if it does. This is half-decent artwork. If more SJW-types made art like this, we wouldn't be so incentivized to make fun of them. If you want to talk about the idiotic reactions, you're probably better off making a different thread and posting screenshots of the reactions. As it stands, I don't mind people posting whatever the fuck they want, as long as it's good (or at least shows effort) and not too cliche ridden (and generally avoids underage exploitation). The fact that so many SJW tumblrites post shit artwork that cares more about pandering to their preferred subsets of the progressive stack and/or being openly hostile to the normies is what makes them deserving of ridicule.

This actually isn't bad. Like if I didn't read the description I'd think it was just a drawing of a dark skinned Gryffindor girl studying while fiddling with some little magical gadget. Hell, even knowing it's an autistic black Hermoine playing with a stim toy it's still a pretty nice and tasteful depiction aside from the fact that they're just changing an already established major character.
