It supposedly happened pre-2018 as far as I can tell. I have a feeling it was more like mouthing off to cops in person, probably after they were called to Mona's or Inez's after Greer was kicked out, and then he backed down like he usually does.

I have no proof of that, but given what we know of Russell, it seems likely.

It seems like the management at said brothels has been consistent since that time... perhaps they could elaborate.

Because the same poster (the owner of Inez's) mentioned Russ already being banned from Inez's and Mona's back in February 2018.


Elko has the closest houses to SLC and it seems like Rusty got persona non grata'ed from there pretty early on in his brothel adventures. And whatever he did pissed them off enough to make it permanent, which was unfortunate for him, since again, closest to SLC and also the Elko houses don't negotiate; there's a set price list (or likely a few: one for regulars, one for randos, and I bet there's one for assholes who aren't bad enough to have been banned yet).

Elko is a bit of a schlep from Vegas, he'd go to Pahrump or Mound House long before he'd go to Elko. And that also explains why he had to go to houses much farther away when he still lived in SLC.

Possibly, but probably not IMO. Everywhere that allows brothels has their own licensing requirements, but they all involve a background check of some sort, and Russ' would likely have more red flags than a Moscow Victory Day parade. Of course even the ROs somehow weren't an issue, there's plenty of other shit that would be. For instance this is a list of reasons Nye County might refuse a license:
