I know users here are right leaning and don't believe they should be here in the first place but from an optics perspective this isn't great for Trump and anti immigrant politics in the US if leftists are able to effectively weaponize it. Deporting them is one thing (I'm not sure on the mechanics of it but surely it can be done without sending them to El Salvador) but sending them to the prison in El Salvador on accusations of being gang members is something that can be easily exploited and is immoral.

First of all, nothing ever happens, and that means impeachment defo won't happen regardless of if a blowout happens. If they couldn't nail him for J6 I'm convinced he's invincible to legal trouble. I'm an old fart and was living in the rust belt in the early 90s. I saw the factories close, one by one. All those jobs lost. I also remember the crash of 2008 and people I personally knew lost a lot of money. Thing is--if you're a boomer close to retirement, you lived through all that plus a bunch of other government failures/overreach/theft/betrayal. If you didn't diversify, protect your assets, and pay attention to the world around you, that's on you not the rest of us.

This is probably the biggest gamble the United States has done for itself since the Cuban Missile Crisis, when the fate of humanity was quite literally on its hands, a lot of things really have to go right in the 4 years trump is in office, and whatever happens after he is done, it really looks like we either successfully re-industrialize, which mind you, has never happened before, so we are in uncharted territory, or we get another Great Depression.

We were barreling toward a massive depression anyway. Why not disrupt and try to stave it off, or even stop it? Industrialization is only a blip on the time continuum, which is why re-industrializing has never happened before. Now is the prime time to do it, not when the middle class is gone, a handful of elites are in charge and have burned everything down, and we have to rebuild from scratch.

I find it funny that everybody either thinks we're going to do Soviet jobs programs with the factories or just let everything run wild unsupervised.

It's CBS/60 Minutes. I quit taking them seriously when they kept insisting Hunter's laptop was fake. They've continued sliding into the propaganda mud at breakneck speed. If there are at least four other credible, non-anonymous sources to back up this claim , I might give it a second thought.
