The wife is the most resonant part of Fahrenheit 451 in retrospect. From what I recall, she sits in her living room all day watching tv melodramas with some form of slight viewer input,
It's only the illusion of viewer input.
she actually has a role to play as one of the characters with a script she follows, the video on the screen has editing so that it refers to her by name as it does for every other viewer.
The wife's name is Mildred, not Helen. "Helen" is the character, but everyone is given the same script to follow and the show continues even when you miss your line as though you'd said it, because it's all pre-recorded. There's nothing high-tech about it, only social engineering, it's produced with the idea that people treat the illusion of dialogue as though it were real because they're too dumb to question things.

they hate them because for 80+ years they've been told fascism and rightwing thought was the literal embodiment of evil because regardless if they were right or wrong it was the biggest political threat to the ""liberal world order"" even more so then communism which is why when presented with a choice of crushing the axis or the soviet union (which was doing everything they were doing and worse) the entirety of the western world chose to destroy the axis.
Its funny that the Same people who will go on about how moral relativism and how morality isn't so black and white suddenly stop saying that when the funny moustache people are involved.

you know, if calling him "literally Hitler" didn't work i doubt downgrading him to "Literally Mussolini" is gonna work either. The left is floundering bros.

Remember how they overused the term Nazi and everyone stopped flinching so they almost overnight started calling everyone Fascist instead? (-Feel free to insert the HK8U comic about overusing the term Nazi here in your mind, it's probably lost media now.-)

Hitler is Nazi
Mussolini is Fascism

It's literally the same thing. They called him Hitler too much and no one cares anymore, so they're moving to the other sharped dressed WW2 guy. Once you realize the left's playbook is actually really really thin you start to see things repeat. Remember, their tactics have to be simple enough that even a retarded theater kid can do them reliably.

Churchill had a choice team up with the commies to destroy hitler, team up with hitler to destroy the commies or sit back and watch each other destroy each other.

He chosed wrong.

Anyone who starts a sentence with "Ah, yes" should be castrated

I want to believe this is sarcasm, but yeah, microwave ovens are exactly radar technology recycled for peacetime after wwii
She wants that third screen, I kind of want that third screen too. I want a screen that's faster and more vivid.

Mildred would enjoy Vtubers a lot huh... she would have a favorite. Like I do...

Wait a minute I read that book! I read- *simulation resets*
back in the day irl buddy got a (then) big deal VGA projector for business presentations and clearly not for watching tv on
I forget the exact joke but within a few minutes there was something in the vernacular of the day of "lmao fucking poor only has one screen, much less three"

Frankly I'm surprised we don't have a proof of concept where you could have one wall be a massive high resolution screen that you can basically have streams or HDMI inputs displayed as windows on the screen you can drag around, resize, and overlap.

We have the technology and there's at least one or two rich fucks that would buy one.

You are clearly finding mainstream/libtard sources on this, because anyone who claims the 70s were better than the 80s is either lying, or didn't live in either decade and is repeating lies. In recent years, libtards have begun rewriting the history of the Carter years to make it sound like a period when the middle class thrived and everything was great, when it was actually a period when inflation was so bad that nobody could get ahead if they weren't extremely well-connected, and America was on retreat everywhere in the world because of our incompetent, feckless leadership.

In the 1980s, we had a brief, sharp recession as the economy readjusted to significant structural changes imposed by Reagan and Volcker (who ironically didn't see eye to eye). At the time, the media shrieked and screamed that omg, some numbers went down, but the reality is you can't fix something as bad as the Carter economy painlessly, and afterward, we had about two decades of good times.

If it sounds like I'm just talking about now, but with different names, well, the 70s and the 2010s have a lot in common. In 25 years, libtard historians will be claiming 2020-2024 was the best America ever had it. In fact, they're already trying to claim this.
There's a lot of similarities between Biden and Carter. I'm hoping the price we pay in pain now will make my 30s better than my 20s were.

I don't want this market to thrive. This market benefits like a few thousand people and a whole lot of corporate entities. I want an economy where we make actual tangible things. I want American exceptionalism. I want all of the forced moral horseshit to fall apart when bad actors stop throwing billions of our dollars at it.

No more free rides. Fuck the rest of the world, provide something or fuck off.

S&P 500 Index Futures is down 4.04%. Any opinions? Thought-provoking takes?
The market will continue to have a fit until they see a lot of countries kiss the ring. The tariffs aren't even in place yet and the market is freaking out.

If you got extra cash, have no outstanding debt (minus things like a home), and have some money set aside for emergency purposes, buy the dip.

Schwab edges out vanguard in performance. for etf 3 fund. But my 60 SCHG / 40 SCHD strat is better.
