It's been a few days since "Liberation Day", enough to let everyone stew on it, it seems like many countries seem to prefer negotiating with Trumpy, notable exceptions being China and some in the EU, this is probably a good thing for literally everyone.

It seems like the real purpose of this to act as "shock therapy" to foreign countries, forcing them to the table, to make them restructure their trade relationships and tariffs with the United States, many of them realize that it would be far less painful for them to negotiate than get into a trade war.

So, in conclusion, thank fuck we are not going to live through second Great Depression, and the potential damage of "Liberation Day" has been suppressed for now, I still think we didn't have to be so cartoonishly heavy-handed if all we really wanted is to renegotiate trade, since of those tariffs were at US allies.

I honestly feel like Iran is the only country that Trump would remotely consider going to war on.
What makes you say that?
:trump: Any attack by Iran on anything American will be met with great and overwhelming force. In some areas, overwhelming will mean obliteration.
:trump: If you do anything to harm this person, we will blow your largest cities and the country itself to smithereens. We're going to blow it to smithereens. You can't do that. And there would be no more threats. There would be no more threats.
:trump: If they don't make a deal there will be bombing. It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before.
Perhaps you're reading a little too much into it?

They pissed Russia off because they already started releasing maps moving their borders into siberia. Russians have been mass returning appliances bought from China and expressing dissatisfaction with the arrangement.

China is expecting to see half, HALF of its factories close this year. Trump fucked them into the dirt

Oh, also there’s a bunch of chink social media bitching from mercenaries who fought in Kursk and Ukraine that Russians hate them, are racist, and send them to the front line to die on purpose
Any company that opens a factory in Russia can export freely. I.e. China, going to their close ally Russia. Congrats silly. China closing their factories in China doesn’t mean shit when they’re bordering the nation where they’ll buy their next factories.

The wife is the most resonant part of Fahrenheit 451 in retrospect. From what I recall, she sits in her living room all day watching tv melodramas with some form of slight viewer input, with the show being on huge screens taking up all the walls. She has no interest in society or the world, and what's going on in the screen occupies all of her thought and attention.
She wants that third screen, I kind of want that third screen too. I want a screen that's faster and more vivid.

She's basically a vapid bugman today with extreme parasocial tendencies who watches live streams on a screen during their free time while getting dopamine hits by inputting chat messages and donations.
Mildred would enjoy Vtubers a lot huh... she would have a favorite. Like I do...

But portraying that would hit a little too close to home. You can't commercialize an art piece for the masses if it might make them think a little bit about their life. Better to burn those pages out of the story so people don't get the wrong ideas. Wait, I think I've read a book about something like that before....
Wait a minute I read that book! I read- *simulation resets*

Letting your opponent stare straight into oblivion is a great negotiating tactic, especially if you're bigger and stronger than him and if you're trying to get things done in a hurry.

Trump will attack Iran. He cares more about Jewish pedophiles then keeping promises to his voters.
Yeah i don't get where this disbelief comes from. He tore up the nuclear deal we had with them. Now he's threatening to bomb them if they don't sign another nuclear deal? But why would they sign another one when Trump didn't honor the first one? It doesn't really make sense from their pov. This is clearly a pretext to bomb them.

she actually has a role to play as one of the characters with a script she follows, the video on the screen has editing so that it refers to her by name as it does for every other viewer.

She didn't look up from her script again. "Well, this is a play comes on the wall-to-wall circuit in ten minutes. They mailed me my part this morning. I sent in some box-tops. They write the script with one part missing. It's a new idea. The home-maker, that's me, is the missing part. When it comes time for the missing lines, they all look at me out of the three walls and I say the lines: Here, for instance, the man says,
`What do you think of this whole idea, Helen?' And he looks at me sitting here centre stage, see? And I say, I say --" She paused and ran her finger under a line in the script. " Ì think that's fine!' And then they go on with the play until he says, `Do you agree to that, Helen!' and I say, Ì sure do!' Isn't that fun, Guy?"
He stood in the hall looking at her.
"It's sure fun," she said.
"What's the play about?"
"I just told you. There are these people named Bob and Ruth and Helen."
"Oh."
"It's really fun. It'll be even more fun when we can afford to have the fourth wall installed. How long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall-TV put in? It's only two thousand dollars."
"That's one-third of my yearly pay."

EXACTLY, I know Iran denies it but I think they could be convinced to sign a nuclear deal from Kamala. They will never sign one with Trump. It would make them look to weak.

you know, if calling him "literally Hitler" didn't work i doubt downgrading him to "Literally Mussolini" is gonna work either. The left is floundering bros.

Why do they hate Mussolini, why do they hate hitler? Do they hate them because of things that they were never alive to see, so they just gooble up the biased retellings of history? Is that what they believe or is that what they were programmed to believe?

I see John badman has returned, tell me bud how ya doing getting good grades in school? Getting bullied?

they hate them because for 80+ years they've been told fascism and rightwing thought was the literal embodiment of evil because regardless if they were right or wrong it was the biggest political threat to the ""liberal world order"" even more so then communism which is why when presented with a choice of crushing the axis or the soviet union (which was doing everything they were doing and worse) the entirety of the western world chose to destroy the axis.
