The smart thing to do now would be to fund actual unbiased research into the effects of puberty blockers and HRT, and the actual (not self reported by delusional troons) therapeutic impact of gender-affirmation. Anyone with common sense understands that its useless and in many cases outright harmful, but previous studies have been designed specifically not to demonstrate that, or somehow gloss over that fact when reporting findings.

It is a shame that time and money should be wasted in this matter at all, but putting troon arguments down with hard empirical data is a good route to putting the question to rest in perpetuity - rather than be at risk of this shit springing up like a weed every time a blue president is in office.

If these studies are so easily manipulated and/or falsified, why on earth should anyone trust the alleged existing evidence that transitioning is safe and effective?

It is painfully transparent that they want money poured into studying "trans healthcare" provided its done only in the very specific way where nothing controversial can be uncovered. If you have to carefully craft a study to avoid an undesirable conclusion, the undesirable conclusion is the truth.

We don’t need politicians wading in as it only deepens the divide and open up good research to not be accepted.
