See, this is the thing. Domestic production is preferable to import/export as a default because of value multipliers, like wages being spent in the area where a factory exists. A factory can support an entire town by employing a thousand people, because that gives a customer base to the towns’ retail and a tax base to the town’s government.

You want to import things when they’re exceedingly difficult to produce or procure, not just because “hey wouldn’t it be funny to redirect revenue flows to ports and overseas” because the revenue flows are really fucking important and we don’t have an index that produces a figure to represent them, so all you hear is like “unemployment”.

Also this perspective: the US has the largest demand of any market on earth, and running $1 trillion trade deficits annually bottom line means we consume $1 trillion a year more than we produce. You manufacture when you have demand, because demand is what enables manufacturing. The whole utility of export is to search for demand.

Never mind that almost all of the stocks will recover over the next several months to years. The only people losing anything are the idiots that just bought in and are panic selling. If you bought Nvidia a few years ago you're still up massively. If you sold now you might not make as much money as you could have last week, but you've still made a shit ton of money.

Literally there’s an almost no lose scenario here for America and a guaranteed lose scenario for any country that doesn’t cave.

These Dem judges seem to be hell bent on creating the very Constitutional Crisis they've been bleating about for the last 2 months.

Ok big judge boy Trump ignores your ruling...what are you going to do? Fine him? Charge him with contempt? Send the bailiffs after him?

I just want the SCOTUS to put an end to this one way or the other. Either the POTUS is the POTUS or any scuzzy judge can do whatever they want because it's actually the judiciary that runs the country.

After SCOTUS has it's say then we can decide where the US goes from there.

By the metric that they use Russia as an export loophole to continue doing the same as they’ve done with Mexico. The same loophole your president purposefully gave to them.

They pissed Russia off because they already started releasing maps moving their borders into siberia. Russians have been mass returning appliances bought from China and expressing dissatisfaction with the arrangement.

China is expecting to see half, HALF of its factories close this year. Trump fucked them into the dirt
