Funny thing is the opposite is true, the soulsbourne games are only played because are you really going to let niponese code beat you? You're quite insistent that nothing in the Souls games is obtuse at all.

I don't know how far I got into Demon's Souls before I realized this was the kind of game meant to be played with the wiki open. Not all that far, maybe that giant knight. I should play Demon's Souls again. I think my PS3 still works.Funny thing is the opposite is true, the soulsbourne games are only played because are you really going to let niponese code beat you?
One NPC is permanently stuck in a well until you give him his armor back and the other NPC is a merchant that moves to the home base if you somehow missed your chance to buy the armor from him. Just talking to them can't sequence break any part of the questline. How do you know a game-breaking glitch somebody else says they experienced doesn't exist unless you tried to replicate the same glitch?
Yeah, the one where he believes he can't have a proper dex build because he started with the wrong class. Instead of playing the game and putting a few points into str he had to obsessively reroll because of another retard. This is clearly the game's fault somehow. Are we reading the same post?
There's a myriad of obtuse shit in these games, eg questlines and stat related shit like soft caps and breakpoints for rolling and whatnot. You're quite insistent that nothing in the Souls games is obtuse at all.
Needing to start with a STR class so you can get to a good DEX build faster is obtuse.Leveling dex to eg 20 because the weapon says you need 20 dex to use it is not obtuse.
You don't need to start with a str class to get a dex build going at all. You get enough souls for like 5 levels before you can even level up. That's like 15 minutes into the game.Needing to start with a STR class so you can get to a good DEX build faster is obtuse.
There won't be a total industry collapse, but some of the giant brands we're used to seeing might die. Bioware's number is coming up soon. And if Activision fucks up WoW and Call of Duty, what do they even have?People who think there will be a video game collapse somehow don't grasp how big of a form of entertainment games are. The industry is going nowhere, game devs having to cut jobs in these last couple years is as close as you're going to get when it comes to a gaming collapse.
Rather than getting mad and calling @Judge Dredd an idiot and a liar, I decided to look it up myself. Mind you, I haven't played this game since it came out, and I only ever did one playthrough. The issue with Thief seemed immediately obvious. You don't need to start with a str class to get a dex build going at all. You get enough souls for like 5 levels before you can even level up. That's like 15 minutes into the game.
Weapons have minimum stat requirements. You need dex to wield str weapons too. You're naturally gonna end up putting a few points in your secondary stat whether you're going str or dex build, just so you can wield/try out weapons.
WoW will literally never die. The current stats claim they have 7 Million+ Active Players. How much of that are people who just don’t bother cancelling their accounts I have to imagine is an insane chunk. Even if they lost 90% of that somehow EverQuest in the Year of our Lord 2025 continues getting expansion packs. I can’t even comprehend how anyone is still playing EQ. Then again people still play Runescape in all it’s mediocrity. There won't be a total industry collapse, but some of the giant brands we're used to seeing might die. Bioware's number is coming up soon. And if Activision fucks up WoW and Call of Duty, what do they even have?
It's a good thing the thief isn't "the" dex class, and isn't a fully melee focused class either. It's the low level class with a bleed knife and a bow.So yes, if you want to go with a DEX-based build, Thief is kind of a shit starting class,
Choosing "thief" in any RPG should mean "choosing a good DEX build," because dexterity being the prime stat for thieves has been the case since Gygax & Arneson invented ability scores and classes. You shouldn't have to go over everything with a fine-toothed comb to not get hosed. It's a good thing the thief isn't "the" dex class, and isn't a fully melee focused class either. which happens to start with the single most OP weapon in the game
- NOTE: If you didn't talk to him when you first saw him on the elevator, he will despawn. However, if you go to the Fire Demon, his dialogue will appear, and he will join you to fight the demon. If you die during the fight he will spawn again. If he dies during the fight, he will not respawn
Reading the class description that says "this is the dex character with swords" is not going over with a fine-toothed comb.Choosing "thief" in any RPG should mean "choosing a good DEX build." You shouldn't have to go over everything with a fine-toothed comb to not get hosed.

A common thief and pitiful deserter. Wields a dagger intended for backstabs alongside a military-issue bow.
This a retarded non-sequitur. Didn't imply it did. That's not actually in the class description.
There are no traps, retard. I literally explained that within a handful of levels, which you will acquire by the time you unlock the ability to level up, you can completely negate the supposed level discrepancy between the two classes when it comes to str.which options are good and which are traps
Yes, the several obvious lies about the game convinced you he really played it. "Starting to think" is an oxymoron if there ever was one.I'm starting to think maybe @Judge Dredd really did play the game and it just makes you super incredibly mad.
Oh wait you did. And you immediately fell on your face. I don't know what you expected to happen when you have no frame of reference, and why you would even think to post about it.As for the "onion man" glitch, what he probably ran into is this:
As seen above, yes he is to both. You're swiftly approaching the second, considering you decided to carry water for him when you didn't even know what he meant but erroneously assumed he was right anyway.he's not lying or stupid,
That's an irrelevant tangent you're hung up on retard. The game says it's a dex class with a sword, yet here you are several posts in spitshining a lie about how obtuse the game is regarding which class would be good for a dex character. Couldn't possibly be the one that literally says "dexterity".Nothing in there about its starting weapon being OP.
It's not a "build" you schmuck, it's a starting class. Starting gear is viable on every class, and stat differences you can correct any time.Nothing there indicates it's a shit build,
You'll never guess what information that same screen where you pick classes displays. I wonder if the retard who wanted a dex build could've just seen which class had the most dexterity and was suited for his build he already decided upon before even starting the game.do a stat-by-stat comparison.
Nigger, I picked a class and didn't give a shit like a normal person playing a video game. Novel concept, right? And that's going back to DS1 when I didn't know dickall about these games and just played it because people made a big hubbub about getting the game ported to PC. Somehow it didn't result in my game falling apart. You used a wiki on your first playthrough
I legitimately can't think of another player base of a franchise that is more willing to spend money on total fucking diarrhea, complain about it and then spend more money. They actively hate the fucking franchise now but refuse to do the one thing that might send EA a message about what they want or don't want: stop fucking buying shit. The people who play gacha games, mobile games or Madden might come close in that respect but I still think people who play The Sims take the cake. For fuck's sake, LGR built his YouTube career on The Sims and now he dreads new expansion packs coming out for TS4 because people expect him to review it even though he hates TS4. TS3 was the peak and it's all downhill from here unless one of the competing titles can manage to poach the few reasonable people left who aren't just playing TS2 + TS3 endlessly.
The 7800 had something the NES didn't. Ninja Golf. All you Soulsborne hoes need to chill and play some Ninja Golf.Naw, it wasnt that bad.
Arcades were still fine. In some ways, it was a bit of a boon because my dad picked up an assload of atari carts for cheap. But yeah, the american console scene died and nothing new came out till the NES arrived. But the thing is, by that time 8 bit computers were really making inroads. Alot of my friends who had intellivisions and ataris simply switched over the c64 and never looked back.
Sadly, Atari had the 7800 ready to go in 1984. And if they had released it with the proper marketing campaign it may have been able to mitigate the crash and keep a chunk of the market from nintendo, which only came to market in NA in 1985. But they put it off until 86, which was by then too late.
The 7800 was a fine console for the era too. While its graphics hardware was a small step below the NES, it could push alot more sprites. The real issue was the sound..the 7800 had the atari 2600 sound chip instead of the POKEY chip found in the atari 5200.
It really would be interesting to see how this would have affected the console market in North America if it has been released in 84
I think the collapse already happened, not in terms of financial collapse but rather a collapse in ideas and thoughtful games with interesting mechanics and that work from day 1. There's not going to be another game like the OG Deus Ex when COD 1488 NIGGER KILLER DIVISION can sell millions at 90 dollars for a "deluxe we're lazy so all the content is getting cut and put into a season pass edition" that release the same day as game that will CTD extensively full of AI bots that use aim bot and a matchmaking that aims to give players a 50/50 win rate with added MTXs. Games use to just come on the disc using every megabyte to create a fun and enjoyable game. There was a lot of trash games back then as well but there was at least a modicum of effort that was needed to make shovel-ware when today anyone can download UE5/Unity and shit out a unoptimized "Insert job" simulator game for $15.There won't be a total industry collapse
