you cant force it to turn back in 4 years without causing major problems, because this is the fundamental problem, you can't impose early 20th century economics in the 21st century.
I guess you're right, we should all just lay down and accept that America will never be able to make anything ever again. Y'know, its like when you're fat you just have to lay down and stay fat forever.

Exercise is just too damn difficult and nobody's ever lost weight or god forbid totally reversed course and became a bodybuilder before. After all, it's already impossible to even maintain a body weight.

Especially when you have a bunch of depressed, sad sacks of shit in an economy who are just milling around waiting for the next bideo jame to waste away on, people obsessed with funko pops, that sort of thing. Why would anybody get a job building stuff? Building things sucks, everybody knows that. Whenever a craftsman across history builds anything as simple as a hand tool or a car or a house nobody has ever said "I helped build those!", they just sit and seethe because misery is the only constant in life.

EDIT: typos.

What was the reason for the sh*tskin invasion of the southern border? VDH outlines a number of good possibilities, but he forgot to mention the anti-white ethos that pervades Leftist ideology.

Maybe you have a point if the goal is to simply increase domestic manufacturing, but to try and bring back what it was in the early 20th century is simply put, no longer possible, the world was far less interconnected, the structure of the economy was dominated by agriculture and heavy industry, the labor conditions were different, especially inflicting so much economic pain to not just here in the States, but everywhere else, all to reach some pipe dream

I have never heard of anyone being sad because they aren't in the manufacturing/building sector, what the fuck are you talking about

process of deindustrialization in the United States was a slow, gradual process over several decades from the mid to late 20th century, you cant force it to turn back in 4 years without causing major problems, because this is the fundamental problem, you can't impose early 20th century economics in the 21st centur
Well that's the thing we are in for major problems anyway. The question is do we want to try and work towards a solution now for future generations or do we want to ride out a dying increasingly service driven bubble of an economy and tell future generations fuck you got ours while some faggots in Europe pat us on the back as Muslims rape them

We need to be able to make our stuff, we need to cut reliance on cheap slave labor and we need to innovate, this is not optional. If we do not do this we are dead as a civilization . But also with manufacturing you have jobs that aren't minimum wage burger flipping but actual stable employment, which also helps reduce the labor pool for service jobs too making them more well paid as well, you have higher quality goods that won't end up costing you more for less utility breaking when you need it most snd leaving you constantly repairing or replacing it, with more manufacturing we can export more vs importing more especially if countries back down and tariff us less, and more industries will crop up around factories too including raw material extraction that was hampered by environmental concerns and complacency.

All the downsides are short term if we succeed and the future is fucked if we dont or if we never tried it anyway.,

Fuck'em.

what the fuck are you talking about
If you really dont get it, I'm essentially saying that the modern "service-entertainment-stockmarket-etc" economy is fake and gay. Work is supposed to suck to beat the pussy ass bitch out of people, so all this desk-jockey, Bing Bing wahoo, shareholder meeting, focus group bullshit is bad for you. GDP is fake jew nonsense.

Sure you can. 21st century economics theorists consist of retards that doesn't understand the economy. Hence where we got modern monetary theory from and why the economy is so fucked. Besides, if you don't think outdated economics models work I'm not sure why you think moderne economics would be better somehow. All those outdated models were new once

Crazy how all the classification experts from last week suddenly became economic experts overnight.

Here's the scary part: It's so bad that you don't have to be an expert to know we are extremely fucked. Like, we gotta pause all the bullshit right now and collectively ask what the fuck are these retards doing? They do realize that even if they short everything, nothing will be of value... Right?

These guys are operating under 19th century Victorian era politics. 20th Century actually has safety protocols.

The people responsible made too much money and having a factory that doesn't dump directly into the local water supply was deemed too costly.
That's why these faggots are destroying the EPA. So they can haphazardly reopen prehistoric facilities and resume dumping chemicals so they can ramp up production like the Captain Planet villians they are. Fill them with kids. Don't worry. We're passing laws so teenagers and children can work nights in the factory, fuck going to school and getting an edu-ma-ma-catioans , gotta makes sum moniez tah pay fur mah sistas canca pillz she got frums drinak da water tis hard n all wit onl 8 fingaz

Please try not to stroke out while typing. It makes figuring out what you mean a little difficult.

took steps to ensure the planes would be in the air before the hearing was completed
oh shit they already picked up on this?
ngl I was expecting about halfway into Vance's second term given how well "Say silly thing to call attention to real problem" has worked for like ten years straight without slowing down

are statistics about black crime bullshit?
Probably not, but they should be looked with the victimhood rate to get the full picture.
Young Black men are the [one of] the commonest cause of death for young Black men.

Tariffs are a tax on the consumer. Nothing more, nothing less. Like alcohol or cigarette taxes, you are in essence monetarily punished for your behavior. Regular Americans haven't had to deal with the faggots from customs when importing goods, so they have no clue what's coming for them. "Placing a Tariff on China" sounds like you're punishing China, which seems to be enough for most.

It'll be a rough ride for the poor people that are dependent on cheap goods to get by. The baseline will get more expensive as outsourcing only moved the slave labor off-shore, and the local workforce isn't going to work under those conditions. And when the next administration goes back to business as usual, the price will stay.
If this were the 80s, I would be more optimistic. Americans could still "afford each other". Nowadays I'm not quite so sure. As long as factory work isn't close-ish to middle class, I don't think this will work. Tariffs also only make sense if you have a local industry you're trying to protect. Think Harley vs Japan in the 80s.

I can't say I like the sledgehammer approach Trump has taken. It doesn't look very well thought out. Maybe he's just trying to spook every other country at the same time into lowering their tariffs on US goods. It's a bold strategy...

Lets see how this plays out. I can't do jack shit about it either way.
