This reminded me of a line from the book Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter (No, really), for context, the speaker is a vampire named Henry who aids Lincoln in hunting down and killing other vampires.

Like his boss, they can hide their divine protection halo when they're not in combat. Nicknamed Ouji, he's always with an airheaded look, but has a penchant of saying philosophical things that makes or makes no sense out of the blue. However, people may assume he's messing around with them (which he is), he's actually very passionate about detailing about magic, tricks, and tutorials on saving time about basic daily life tasks, and is actually a part-time magician! Don't fuck with him, or he'll tangle you to death with his lethal ribbon blades!​
