I really like how Dave doesn't even pretend to care about shaving his face anymore. You think it's laziness, or that he's using the facial hair to hide the scabs on his face?

I don't know if he "practices", really. I think he just noodles and calls it "practice". That's the problem with practicing when you're an irredeemable narcissist, proper practice technique involves getting outside yourself, listening objectively to your own work, deliberately pushing yourself outside your own comfort zone and being relentlessly self-critical. Guess what things narcissists are bad at? Dave and his ilk hit a good level of play as teens, suddenly start getting praise, then stop trying and slowly regress until they're using a top-tier shredding axe to spray pointless, inaccurate notes all over "Blowin' in the Wind" in a coffee shop in front of 10 people who aren't paying attention.

People will say that most top shredders are narcissists, but that's actually broadly untrue. I've met the likes of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert and they're all very humble, down-to-earth guys, the whole "rock god" thing is a stage persona. The only world-class guitar player who is a genuine narcissist is Yngwie Malmsteen. But Malsmsteen is a complete freak, in many ways. His personality is all wrong, his technique is all wrong, but he had so much raw talent that he not only became one of the world's best guitarists by virtue of sheer freakish talent but also built an entire genre of music on his own. The Zlatan Ibrahimovic of guitar. Nobody should try to imitate Malmsteen because it's like trying to imitate Mozart - the way you imitate Mozart is by not imitating anyone. But the music business is filled with Malmsteen imitators, because they see a guy whose ego carried him to the top and think he's the guy to emulate. Some of them, like Joe Stump and Dushan Patrossi, even dress like him and play the same colour guitar as him. And you'll see hundreds of Malmsteen wannabees on the toilet venue circuit, who will never succeed because they put their ego first.

Dave is not influenced by Malmsteen's playing (his style is so generic it's hard to work out any of his influences tbh) but he definitely fits the bill of the teenager who learned guitar to get girls, got fairly good at it, got praise (and maybe girls, though in Dave's case I doubt it) and decided to coast, believing that their "talent" owed them a career in the music industry. If you're an egomaniac, you have to keep that under wraps if you want to get anywhere in music, because you have to suck so much dick (often literally) to succeed, as well as get fucked over by dickheads and say "thank you" because you need to keep those dickheads friendly. Overblown trust-fund posers like Dave fail, because they put their egos and massive sense of entitlement first, so they end up in a coffee shop in the middle of bumfuck Missouri playing shit Bob Dylan covers at 41.
 
Seems likely that "practice" means fantasizing about performances before adoring audiences. Three strums through "The Times They Are a Changing" while grinning, glowing, and weeping a bit about being elevated as a singular force of societal redemption and a thirsty target of feminine lust.

Then a little time spent posing with portions of his guitar collection and molesting the cat. It's selfie time!

According to Dave, he had his first girlfriend at 16 and was with her until 18. So no, he was not getting girls. He's definitely lying about a lot of his life, but I don't think he made up the part about his first girlfriend being from 16-18. even if he lies about her living in a trailer and being black and leaves out the part about her being 13. He also claims that by the time he was 17 he'd made enough off of guitar lessons (this was before he dropped out of high school) to buy a car, multiple guitars, and still had $5,000 saved up and he's almost certainly lying about that.

I will give you the number one place to see sad men: Guitar Center. Oh my God, one of the saddest places on earth.

Failed, struggling musicians behind the counter. A bunch of men in loveless marriages or divorced just walking around, looking at the guitars. "Is that a custom color? Is it? Maybe if I add that to my collection it will fill up whatever this void is in the center of my chest."

I remember that a year or two ago in a r/columbiamo thread Dave was conversing with another MTF troon and it sounded like they had gone out on a date at some point. I can't remember if I posted it or not.

There are plenty of people who fake disability, because even though it is just barely enough to survive, and it should be just that, with not a red cent at the end of the month for anything but survival, being able to not work and get free money is worth it to them. Dave is a prime example of that.

If you told many people that you would give them $1000 a month, they didn't have to pay anything for medical care, they would get EBT for food, a free obamaphone, a very cheap or free (but not particularly fast) interwebs connections, and lots of other free stuff for basic living, but they couldn't work a single minute, they'd be thrilled. The number of young NEETs prove this. This person clearly underestimates how much people hate spending 8 hours a day working for a living.

It’s easy to forget but la principessa is only 40. He talks like he’s the same age as his parents, who have spent a lifetime paying tax.

Slightly off topic, but this rhetoric is a big part of the problem with Dave and also welfare. It isn’t a bank account accruing interest from which one is entitled to draw. Dave’s payments into it were to support other people at that time. He doesn’t get to coast on having paid taxes ten years ago. He is supposed to be trying to get a job, any job, now. But he tells himself that this is all deserved because he spent a few years wearing a suit and creeping on young women in another state.

As a vulnerable, chronically ill trans woman on disability, it's hard for Dave to survive. And by survive I mean buy more guitars.
 
I bet that if Dave were to return home and find his front door open and all his guitars missing his first call would be to 911 and his first comment to the first "bastard" cop that showed up would be "What took you so long!"

Suddenly they wouldn't be plantation guards maintaining a corrupt system.
They would be essential government workers who need a bigger budget.

We have wondered what flavor of disability he is on.
His guitar collection should put him over the limit of SSI.
Last I had heard the limit was really low, something like $1200.
He easily has over ten grand in guitars.

Maybe he got lucky and started his "I am a disabled transwoman" grift while he still had disability insurance coverage from his atheists gig.

If so, actual Social Security Disability Income is not means tested.

I doubt he paid any taxes on his guitar teacher or "traveling rock god" income.

I have heard SS has agents that just search social media looking up accounts of the allegedly disabled.

If you say you can't set at a desk for 8 hours it is a real bad idea to post pics of you golfing 18 holes or going parasailing while in Aruba.

You would think that would be obvious yet people get their disability disconnected for crap like that every year.

2023, Mar 1 - Dave said his application was denied and he would have to start the process over (#2,382)
2024, Jan 29 - Dave had his SSA disability hearing (#3,325)

SSA rules for SSDI (link) state:
Generally, you need 40 credits, 20 of which were earned in the last 10 years ending with the year your disability begins. This is called the 20/40 Rule. However, younger workers may be eligible with fewer credits [ed: these end at age 31 and so wouldn't apply in Dave's case (link)].

Do we know when he stopped being a professional atheist? If it sync'd with the emergence of Danielle in 2014, his SSDI hearing was held just about when his 10-year window was to close for claiming benefits based on the FICA taxes he paid while on staff.
