that is probably one of the worst things i've read all year. thanks man.

so now they're just letting their spic golems kill people in the open to try and stop what's happening, huh? this is desperation i really didn't think i'd see.
They've already caused 2 crashes

In 2010, a flash crash occurred in the market due to a number of high-frequency trading algorithms engaging in a series of rapid trades. Perhaps most troubling, this quick dive took place on an otherwise normal trading day. A few algorithms in use simply “misread” the market. The unwarranted sell-off initiated by those mistaken models then caused other programs to respond in kind. The $1 trillion lost in that half hour period was eventually made up thanks to human intervention.

But this was not a fringe case. A similar algorithmic hiccup also took place in 2016. In that case, analysts attributed an overnight 6 percent drop in the British pound to algorithmic trading. This incident confirmed the susceptibility of algorithms to “high-speed selling spirals.”

Ah, more "wave the white flag and surrender your buttholes to the status quo! Lose with dignity, fellow Republicans!"

When I want input from the Balldo Bunker of cuckservatism, I will ask for it.
I couldn't read it. Even the archive was of the snippet requiring a log in.

Man I hate having to spend an hour and a half every monday catching up on this thread because I spent the weekend living my life, but I really really really appreciate all you autists for aggregating all this news for me.

Democrats are like the mother that spoils their good too much.
I was just thinking this yesterday, that the terminally online living caricatures aside, the liberals and progressives I know in real life are all pretty much in agreement that the government is doing a shit job of everything, but the liberal instinct is to throw more money at it where the conservative instinct is to dismantle it, just like the maternal instinct is to help and protect a child where the paternal instinct is to challenge and punish where necessary so they fucking learn and grow. Liberalism is literally fatherless behavior.

Anyway, everybody talking about annexing Canada and the UK is making me nervous, I don't want more cucks and immigrants voting in the next election.

Also fuck Israel fuck ZOG fuck kikes fuck Mossad glowniggers, never trust anyone who openly adheres to an ideology that considers you subhuman.

I agree with most here on the stock market but it will be interesting to see if it causes Trump to change course. He's very ego driven
I don't buy the whole "Trump is driven by ego" "He's only in it for the glory" shit. If that was true Trump never would have ran for president in the first place since he knew from the start that he was going to lose all his allies and the media was going to smear him hardcore. The only evidence there is of Trump being "ego and glory" driven are his humorous "Trumpisms" he tosses around but those that are familiar with Trump personally state that's just his sense of humor. Norm Macdonald said after he got to know Trump when he was doing SNL that Trump loves to parody himself almost like a WWE wrestler and most people don't seem to understand that side of him and take his self parody as a matter of fact which makes people look very stupid. If Trump really only cared about the glory and his own ego he would've kept doing the same shit he was doing before he ran for president since he was a mostly beloved figure to everyone until he ran for President.

I don't think he's going to be changing course because he knows this is all a part of the process to meet the end goal.

Better tighten up those borders then, think of all the fentanyl.
i agree, we should be tightening up the borders on illegal smuggling of any kind, because if you can smuggle a suitcase full of booze over, you can smuggle a suitcase with a human being in it, or a suitcase full of fentanyl. unfortunately, the US-CAN land border is completely impossible to patrol unless you're going to accept a massive spike in your and everyone else's taxes just to pay a bunch of people to watch what is, 99.9% of the time, an empty, snowy, or sodden piece of forest/prairie, or empty and vast stretches of lake water already monitored by the coast guard.

in reality, it's mostly a lack of border enforcement on the canadian side which allows things to penetrate, because it's a one-side porous border, because most smugglers aren't even trying to smuggle things out of the US. it becomes an issue of enforcement within the other country, as you've seen with trump's statements. there's very little we can do on the american side, and a lot of it would be unnecessary if the canadians policed their water borders better, and if they handled their incoming entries with more caution. that's what it boils down to with the fentanyl-porous northern border.

The night of the long knives is happening across America, with leftist terrorists bombing Teslas and murdering journalists. It is happening and is not being reported.

You're not answering the question.

If you are under the age of 45, you will never retire and you will never see a dime of social security. Better rip that band-aid off now.
Would you even want to though? None of the elderly people I’ve seen who are in social security were ever as happy or active as the ones who weren’t. My great grandfather worked as a landscaper well into his 80’s and only had to stop because of a stroke. He was nothing like the frail old people you see living off social security. My grandfather, his son, is currently in his 70’s(I forge the exact year) and he still works as a mechanic. Both professionals and as a hobby restoring old cars. He’s just as lucid and he was when I was a kid. I’m sure he’s slower and weaker, but he isn’t wasting away in a sofa watching the home shopping network all day.

I think a lot of people have little to do in retirement and let their bodies fail. Social security is a trap, and earning your wealth and retiring on your own terms without own money is the proper way to enjoy your advanced age

We literally had a recession under Joepedo, to the point they had to lie and change what a recession meant because nu-uh, Joepedo can do no wrong.

Yes and no (but mostly yes).

Officially, NBER calls recessions. Colloquially, the definition has been “two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth”. Everyone, including every single one of my 400 level Econ profs and textbooks, used the colloquial definition because NBER would always call it when we got those two negative quarters.

Except last time, they didn’t. And of course, the media deboonkers instantly flooded the zone with “ackshually that’s never been the definition”. A few days later, the economist shills came out with copes about how this time is structurally different because The Coof and we shouldn’t expect an actual recession. None of their arguments were very convincing to me.

But then it turned out they were right! GDP growth resumed, employment was slowly starting to stabilize, Joe did it again. And yet with the benefit of hindsight, we can see the recession was “avoided” with massive government spending and infinite low wage migrants taking all that job growth (which contributed to the decrease in inflation in maybe the most harmful way possible).

Arguably the only way to prevent a recession would have been to continue Biden’s insane spending and migration policies, which was never going to happen under Trump. I think this realization is behind a lot of the Treasury Sec’s recession hinting rhetoric. DOGE and tariffs will contribute, but I don’t see the recession being particularly deeper or longer lasting because of them - assuming we don’t get in a protracted trade war.
