Holy shit. This entire thing is such as tell. Expand it and look at the parts I bold + underlined. "View", "feel", "see", "seem". Basically they don't accept that this is how they actually are, that none of it is true and that they just "seem" that way. They think it's a messaging issue and not their actual policies.

Precisely. They present it as a communication problem instead of a substantive issue with their actions. It also shows why Democrats can't be trusted to regain power any time soon. They are willing to make tactical rhetorical concessions (grudgingly, since their loonie base wants total war against the chuds), but they are not willing to make actual policy changes. The moment the voters elected a hypothetical "moderate white guy in a business suit" candidate, it would immediately be back to mass migration, trans kids, and full spectrum woke repression. They need to spend a lot of years in the wilderness to actually moderate themselves.

However, the thinking behind the document is not simply cynical. Most of them probably do believe they lost because of their messaging while they were "right" on the actual issues, and they can't accept why it didn't work this time. People don't neatly separate self interest and personal belief as long as things work out for them. They only start self analyzing when they get hit repeatedly in the face with the Stick of Consequences. What we are seeing here is still the denial phase of the five stages of grief. The next one will be anger, lots of anger.

It sometimes seems to highlight something posted five minutes ago with one rating, and sometimes doesn't highlight the ones posted three minutes ago with five ratings. Sometimes it highlights random shit earlier in the thread and not the most rated posts with 50+ either.
Have to wonder if a jannoid can set something as highlighted as well as the automated system. Would explain some things.
