I think a lot of the Republicans voting for his cabinet and supporting him, including members of his cabinet (like Tulsi) are trying to get an endorsement to be anointed the MAGA heir. After the midterms, the mask will come off and it'll likely be a shitshow, even if Trump fully endorses Vance (which I find hard because of his personality, but he'll likely rally for him).
