If you've seen stuff related to hentai games like Monster Girl Quest or ecchi anime Like Monster Musume, You'll know what i'm Talking about here. because this was the inspiration that brought MGQ into being. this came out in 2010 in Japan, but came to the west in sept. 2016

The Monster Girl Encyclopedia is a weird Novel made by Kenkou cross, it tells about a world where there are monster women that hunt a man so she can screw with him. every monster girl does do this. Well.... not ALL of them,, but they will if they're heated up with demonic energy.

there are succubi, elves, fairies, dwarves, mermaids, vampires, werewolves, lamias, lizardmen, arachne, slimes, harpys, centaurs, dragons, typically monsters from mythologies you can think of really.

the plot, when a new demon lord took the throne and was a succubus, she altered the monsters that were fearsome and ate and butchered human, they're now monster women looking for human husbands. either forceful or begging for so. and some hunt human women so they can turn them into monsters as well. and the chief god thinks they're still monsters that should be killed and has a group called The Order for doing so. but there are some men that defend the monster's rights for that.

btw, when this got released in the west, the sexual content was toned down to make it more friendly and not hentai-ish.

It was resurrected from the TV Tropes purge during their censorship campaign and imported along with our initial content dump back when Orain was a thing, and then I had a hand in cleaning up the formatting as you can see from the history of the page.

As for the plot, it's basically an excuse for porn, let's not sugarcoat it.

If you want to see this taken as literally as possible, check out 'Monster Girl Quest", which takes the porn premise and runs with it. If you want to see a "watered down" version of the same type of story, see, "Daily Life With A Monster Girl", which is still pretty sex-themed, but minus most of the more explicit hardcore porn aspects of the TMGE as well as being set in a modern day setting.

Necro aside, I have been following the western side of this setting since 2018, so I can probably give you guys a good idea. And boy, it was a shitshow.

Essentially, the author of MGE, who admitted that his setting was a fantasy sandbox, was surprised that people weren't writing porn. Just look at fanfiction.net's crossovers to see what people mostly pair MGE with. And below are 2 Spacebattles threads that were shut down because the mods wouldn't tolerate the "genocide".

They were derived from this fic on the same site that thought with its brain instead of its dick about the setting. The summary is that without intervention, all of humanity will be converted into rape-happy monster girls. Everything is on the table besides NTR and Futa. So this inspired a big wave of Warhammer/Dark Souls/Fallout/"Anything with guns or actual monsters" stories on fanfiction.net and spacebattles, which involved MGE roflstomped by the grimdark setting of the author's choosing. The other approach was to cut the middle man out and just draw guro of MGE characters, as what occurred on the Monster Girl Universe forums.

The author wasn't having any of it. He removed his work from Universe and threatened to DMCA these fics (such as A Hunter's New Home, one of the popular fics at the time). Don't know if he followed through on this fic, but he did strike down a separate Dark Souls/MGE story, The Knight.

Not only were they very interesting times when those forums were still active, but this is the only case I know where the actual owners of an IP lash out at fanfiction.
