Ireland has self ID, they've made it a hate crime to misgender people and generally speaking there's not much transphobia. The problem is the Irish trans community complain that there's no real access to gender affirming treatment unless you go private. TGEU rates Ireland as the worst place in Europe for transgender healthcare (out of places in Europe that offer it in the first place), so Irish trans people catastrophise to Americans... and I don't trust a lot of these people to understand Ireland is not part of the UK. Plus Sinn Fein are currently having a struggle because Sinn Fein backed the puberty blockers ban in Northern Ireland while trying to promote it in the Republic.

I agree that you do hear people say "you can get by with just speaking English in the Netherlands/Denmark/Iceland/Germany/Sweden/Malta" and that's only really true for tourism. The closest you get is the Netherlands, where it is disarming that pretty much everyone you encounter speaks impeccable English, but they're still largely going to speak Dutch to each other. A moot point anyway as a lot of American "refugees" are struggling to parse that they don't qualify for refugee status and also can't just move country.

In my country of Finland we are constantly being told by our betters we should accept not getting service in Finnish and accept coworkers that don't speak Finnish but it's just not working. Nobody wants to hire anyone who doesn't speak Finnish unless they get them extremely cheap or they have no other options. Even in STEM jobs with international clients are hesitant to refusing to hire anyone who isn't near native level speaker because everyone knows what annoyance they are when everyone else speaks Finnish. Communication issues, having to translate shit that didn't need it before, Finnish clients get uncomfortable and so on.

The unwillingness to undergo intensive lang. learning really says a lot about how they just want to be somewhere like the US. I've always hated how adverse to language learning Americans tend to be, but troons make it seem like they should be coddled for their useful skills of wearing femboy clothes, Warhammer... and not much else.
Because when it comes down to it, once you learn the language there aren't that many barriers to entry into said Euro country. They're just fucking lazy.

I was googling the source of this claim, and it seems to be a misunderstanding that if male development isn't triggered, the fetus will turn out female (so it was referred to as "default"), an extreme example would be with CAIS where you get a genetic male with female phenotype. But a broken male development doesn't mean you get a normal female development, so they don't have proper female reproductive organs. Also, apparently undifferentiated fetuses were sometimes referred to as "phenotypically female", but again "lack of penis" does not mean "female". It's the same terrible science that makes them think a penis can be turned into a vagina/clitoris because they start out from the same tissue or whatever.

As many of you know, I have for years suffered from discrimination, abuse, exclusion, and violence — often from members of the trans community itself, who have been fed bulls--t claims about me, which is discrimination based on stigma which itself arose from discrimination.

I was forced to flee Canada, where fascists had made my life literally unsurvivable, back to my birth country of New Zealand. I was hoping the violence and lies would end there, but alas — in a five week period starting in December, I suffered nine TYPES of assaults, I lost count of the number of incidents. This was in Nelson, at the northern tip of the South Island; a place of breathtaking natural beauty and home to many many wonderful people — but also to a minority of the nastiest and most hardcore transphobes that I have ever encountered.

I was verbally assaulted; physically assaulted for purchasing office supplies while trans; sexually assaulted; suffered weaponisation of the law when a really disgustingly selfish person falsely claimed I assaulted them; made homeless by that; medically abused by Nelson Hospital whose "Crisis Assessment Team" (read: crisis amplification team) ignored self-harm happening right before their faces; that same hospital, after telling me that I could sleep in an emergency department room, and watching me take my medication including progesterone, instead threw me out in the middle of the night while still sedated; ordered to not use women's toilets in the boarding-house-cum-concentration-camp Franklyn Village; evicted for same (human rights case for up to $6500 damages is in progress, the lawyer is one of the lovely person here); refused a room that was available at Palace Backpackers because, as the owner said to my face, "You deserve what you get, dropped on your head as a toddler and have a penis and think you're a girl"; misgendered uncountable times.... Ugh!

On the 15th I was finally able to fly to Wellington. I have been at Trek Global Backpackers in Te Aro, in the centre of the city near the legendary Cuba Street queer community. On my first Friday night I went dancing at Ivy Nightclub and connected with an amazing gang of queerdos. When Ivy closed at 3, we went on to Minibar until 4.

I spent a couple of evenings at the Gardens Magic festival dancing myself delirious to rock and jazz music, and met the emcee of the event, drag star Polly Filla!

I am looking for housing in Newtown, the section of the city that is home to Gender Minorities Aotearoa — who are fantastic and wonderful, and gave me a shopping bag to fill with free clothing from Aunty Dana's Op Shop. I will be volunteering there, you bet I will!

Yesterday afternoon I went to a Munch for polyamorous people, and afterwards went to the heart of Cuba Street and decompressed, breathing, listening to the beautiful music of a street guitarist. When they paused after a song, I went and thanked them, and told them a little bit of what I have been through, and how grateful I am to finally be somewhere safe where I am appreciated. They looked so moved, and thanked me for sharing, and I put a dollar in their guitar case and went back to the bench and had a little cry. It was all so good.

I bought a used laptop which will be delivered soon. When it arrives, I will start working on The Weak Anthropic Everettian, my autobiography. This book will be completely honest, as true as I can make it, and I expect no one will believe a single word. People have told me for years to write my story, but I never could because my life was a downward spiral that would have made an awful story.

But I think now I can see a dénouement; a chance to live with authenticity and love and safety. And I have two years of supported living, to recover from all the trauma, and to write my book.

I got freakin' roller skates!​

I used to skate on quad skates as a kid. Initially those horrible strap-on ones with metal wheels, I enormously appreciated urethane wheels on real skates. Probably the last time I roller skates was 40 years ago! But over the last couple of years at Pride parades, I have found myself dissolving into puddles at the sight of lesbians on quad skates. Ehrmahgerd!!!

I recently moved around the globe to New Zealand, where I am establishing a life fully under my real name! Everywhere I go, I am Margie Fancypants! And as it's late spring in the southern hemisphere, I decided to order these very girly skates (with knee and elbow pads and wrist guards), and they arrived today!

These are very nice skates, and very rolly indeed. It was a bit nerve-wracking at first, especially not having a helmet just yet, but I remained off my tuchus and knees the whole time! There were a few heart-stopping moments, I confess....

But this is about more than roller skates. Even more than training for roller derby, and skating WITH the other lesbians in the parades!

This is the first piece of my dynamic new life. I am going to become a professional adventure tour guide, including ski instruction, hiking, caving, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, mountain biking and more. We're going to convert a 4WD bus into a luxury offroad RV for 6, with a Blahaj in every berth, which can also serve as a bush disco (we'll install an air suspension off a truck for extra fun). We can go into the most spectacular lands on Earth!

And Fancypants Adventure Tours will not be a corporation — it will be a charitable foundation, raising funds to rescue trans and GNC people around the world, to live in safety in New Zealand. This is already underway, we have eight people (5 adults and 3 minors) in process from the US, and we're assisting an extraordinary young trans woman escape Algeria; she wishes to join us, and train to be a nurse.

We plan to establish Hearthstone, an off-grid permaculture village, supported by tour revenue and cottage industry. A large Earthship will contain collective facilities like kitchen and laundry and dining areas, as well there will be workshops and Makerspaces to support the village as well as furnish it.

The climate is suitable for outdoor permaculture year round, killing frosts just don't happen. The last ones were in 1992, after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo. (It was heckin' cold; August '92 was the last time I was in New Zealand!)

It seems a fitting climax of my life, to finally find safety after half a century of peril; and then to bring many people from similar suffering, to live in peace and build a genuinely better world.

We need more love for everyone. Hearthstone will be a great fountain of authenticity. I hope to embrace some of you there someday.

What they're referring to is a cloaca, which emerges at two weeks. This is why they keep thinking "all embryos are female". That's not actually the case as women do not have cloacas. Instead the embryo differentiates;

Of course, if you think vagina = hole, you may think otherwise. But at 2 weeks, an embryo is not anatomically female because they don't have female anatomical structures.
Naturally, though, this also doesn't mean that zygotes are sexless, because (barring vanishingly few exceptions) the sex is determined by the presence or absence of the SRY region from the father's Y chromosome, which dictates the development pathway. Even when this is interfered with by complex intersex conditions, the gonads will still either develop in line with sex or turn into streak gonads (i.e. they're testicles that didn't turn out right).

Yet another example of troon logic, complete fallacy.

Suppose we indulge in their troonery for a sec and 'all embryos are female at conception'. Sure, that might be true.

That would imply however there is no way to tell the sex or gender until said troon turns some magical age and can self-identify. That's the REAL reason they want it to be true so badly. Who would 'choose' to be male in this case? Also, this excludes pooners who want to be male as well.

So despite where troons want to move the goalposts to scream 'Checkmate! Transphobes!', wordplay doesn't change reality. No baby is trans out of the womb. Yes, this includes 'intersex' people. Screaming it loud enough and trying to compel people to defend their position is not working.

P.S. I do subscribe to a small theory that troons could have easily indulged in their fetish, similar to furries. They could hang out in their little enclaves with pronoun pins and dogpiles. However, it's moments like these where instead of accepting defeat and policing their community, they are doubling down on their failed ideology.
