I was looking for a new apartment and just about every other listing has MULTIPLE negative reviews for homeless people OD'ing to death on the front steps. The local government literally busses them in from other shithole states to deposit them on the streets. We did not have a homeless problem until they started doing that. Every local business keeps Narcan on hand and there are posters everywhere explaining how to administer it. Every now and then the police will round up a bunch to send back to their state and this invariably results in the university students protesting the abject injustice of it. I honestly hate the retarded enablers more than the homeless themselves.

Good point. There is respect for those people. Its sad how it's illegal to ride the rails now days I think Johnny cash wrote a song about that.
Train hopping always been illegal as it's always constituted trespassing. Not a major offense, to be sure, and not one likely to see you jailed if you're caught.
It used to be much more common simply because there used to be a lot more trains to hop.
Occasionally I'll watch some train hoppers on Youtube and I'm always torn over what to think about these people. It is interesting video to watch, to be sure. I don't give a damn about petty law infractions, but sometimes they act a little too stupid in their quest for those sweet Internet updoots. And it feels disingenuous to go around larping as a crunchy hobo while you're filming in 4K with an expensive gimbal.
If any of the old school 'boes are still left, I have to wonder how they feel about these younger kids that have gotten started doing it.

But yeah, hoboes aren't the people you find shaking the change cup on the same corner day after day. Hoboes only stay in one place long enough to earn enough money to leave. They like to keep on the move.

I've always fucking hated ultra-progs that point to the guy shitting himself on the subway and insist you're just two stopped checks from this like, happening to you mannnn. Fuck that shit. If my house burned down or I got kicked out, I could stay with friends. If that failed, I could stay in my car. If that failed, I could still probably find a way to keep my head down and be grateful that I live in a first-world country where it is essentially impossible to starve to death.

I've always believed that if every major city rolled through with mobile homeless incinerator vans and chucked all six million homeless people in there, the bleeding heart libs would manage to keep up their kvetching about "MUH HOOMAN RIGHTS ABOOSES" for all of 2 weeks before shutting up about it and never bringing it up again, secretly relieved they no longer have to pretend to be jazzed about hurdling over 20 fenties on the way to work.

The concept of an HOA is based and good. It's how you keep out the filth from your neighborhood the issue is you get dysgenic freaks who are power hungry in positions of power and it ruins it

I've always wanted to write an OP about a relevant community but am a lazy nigger.
It's a forum for various types of traveling homelesses. Train hoppers, hitch hikers, rubber tramps, etc. It's a slow forum but there's some good power leveling and schizophrenia on there if you dig. You need to collect some updoots to unlock sections like the train hopper forum since dicking around with railways is a federal crime but most of it is wide open for lurking

There's a lot I could say about the homeless. I deal with them at my job (hospital), in my neighborhood, and on my daily commute. The way they ruin public parks/greenspaces with their disgusting encampments... how they do hard drugs in the middle of the day in public with no shame... how they constantly make scenes by screaming at imaginary demons... how they run into traffic and then get mad at the CARS... their nasty untreated medical conditions like rotten blistering feet just airing out on the subway...

You know how sometimes you get onto a bus with a homeless person sleeping, and there's that characteristic hobo barnyard/manure smell that permeates the whole vehicle? I always suspected it was shit (obviously) but I just recently learned how bad it really is... I had a homeless patient come into my hospital, he had THAT smell and I was the one who had to clean him up. Turns out it's a mixture of fresh shit, inside of underwear that is encrusted with multiple layers of old hard shit, which is inside of pants that are encrusted with multiple layers of even older shit. I had to cut the clothing open with scissors, and throw everything into biohazard waste.

Think of that next time you're on the subway and it smells like a farm. That hobo stretched out on the seats, he is shitting ontop of shit ontop of shit.. pounds of poop trapped between their asscheeks and multiple layers of clothes. And YOU could be sitting on that seat next!

Current year hobos seem like a different species from bums of old. When I was younger, I lived in an area that was notorious for having a homeless problem, although by today's standards it would be better off than most American cities. There were bums, but they behaved like human beings. They'd ask for money politely, you'd say no, and that would be that. These days cities are infested with feral zombies shooting up in the street, screaming incoherently, and attacking women, children, and the elderly. I've heard a theory that this is because of the popularity of Narcan. In the past, junkies who overdosed would just die. Now they can be resurrected with a quick squirt up their nose, but they incur brain damage from oxygen deprivation in the process. Repeat that 10 or 20 times and you get a lizard-brained husk whose only thoughts are "GET HIGH" and "KILL". Maybe we should be letting natural selection take its course.

Most homeless I've seen in the UK haven't been too bad, most tend to just sit and ask for money as you walk past and for the few that are more direct in asking, they tend to very polite about it. I remember one girl who came up who was in bits, had apparently just been kicked out of her flat and was only asking for a pound. I've always been told it's better to donate to homeless charities than directly to homeless people since you don't know whether a hobo is going to use that money to try and better themselves or to spend it on crack, but I've also heard that a lot of the money sent to those charities doesn't actually go toward the purpose of the charity and gets sorted into some rich people's pockets.

Yes, absolutely.

I am not a monster, so I propose a three strikes rule with Narcan. Each kit comes with something that will leave a chemical brand; it goes on the inside left forearm. If a person has three brands, he or she is considered DNR. Hopefully, this would cut down significantly on repeat offenders and provide incentive to actually stay clean.

I think they should just be forced into labor some people aren't cut out for the complexity of modern society and if they won't work they'd be better off basically being serfs

This is correct. Junkies used to eventually just die frozen in a corner of a squatter’s house and now we feel obligated to resuscitate them. So we’re just extending their life in the pointless hope that they’ll get clean. The type of bums who regularly OD are the ones beyond saving. There are cases where people start attacking paramedics because the Narcan fucked up their high.

There is a big difference between niggas who are temporarily homeless and bums who shoot up under a bridge. The temporarily homeless stay with friends or family, maybe a night or two in their car, and are often just homeless for a few weeks before finding some kind of accommodation. Most of them have drug and alcohol problems too but will at least keep that shit behind closed doors.

It's far easier to be cautious around the homeless. Thing is, it's difficult to say, even here, but I'll just say it like it is - you don't know people at the end of the day. It applies to anyone. Yes, some of the homeless are just struggling, nice people trying to get a few coins to eat and looking for shelter to get by. However, there are those who are genuinely destroying themselves, such as the addicts and the criminals. Before you drop a coin in the bowl, remember, YOU DO NOT KNOW PEOPLE. What if that person is going to spend that money on whiskey and drugs? Weapons? Hookers? Casino? Useless crap like ugly hippie paintings and anime figurines. Looks aren't everything. They may look pitiful, but consider: are they bringing it upon themselves? Also, they could get violent towards you, especially if you look like you're carrying a bag full of valuables, even a cellphone. You surely don't want to go through the trouble of hiding valuables.

Sure, the rich are lying snakes, but even the poor and middle class are capable of being such. There is no noble savage and no Robin Hood. Everyone is going to be selfish in a way. Everything has a motive.

I know it's a politically radioactive idea but we legit need to toss junkies into rehab and crazies into loony bins against their will. I don't care about their rights. The rest of us have a right to live life without dealing with addicts and lunatics. It's also more humane for the addict or mentally ill to be in treatment instead of just letting them fester.

Just imagine all the nice public restrooms and rest stops we could have if it wasn't for the homeless. We purposely build things to be shitty because otherwise the homeless would sleep and poop all over it.
The Romans even had big beautiful public bathhouses just imagine what we could do in 2025 if we didn't have to cuck ourselves

Load the streets with the next more potent synthetic opioid after fentanyl and let them choke on their vomit. Problem solved.

The most pleasant homeless people I’ve ever encountered was in Dublin, Ireland. They all seemed pretty chipper for hobos. Boston, MA has really shitty, aggressive bums, which kind of surprised me.
