"SWATting bad!" isn't an argument in this case, no shit, SWATting is bad. Genuinely, what should the police have done differently than what they did? Pass a law that says "If Patrick S Tomlinson is ever accused of a crime, the police MUST ask Mr Tomlinson on a secure line for the secret passphrase they came up with him, changing on a weekly basis, and ask him if he actually committed that crime, and are legally banned from pursuing the matter any further if he says no."? If anyone in this thread got drunk, got in an officer's face and screamed threats at them, and then attempted to swing on them before being cuffed, do you think they'd be released without having to at least spend a night in the drunk tank? The fat faggot's bitch tits are already being treated with kid gloves. It's not the responsibility of a Midwest city with barely a half million population's police force to singlehandedly solve a major modern issue overnight that the feds have made all of jack and shit progress on in a decade and a half.

Depositions are going to tell the attorneys one very important, but opposite thing. The city's attorneys are going to find out really quick that they need to get him on the stand at all costs. And Pat's attorneys are going to find out real quick that they need to keep him off the stand at all costs.

He is literally a named party in the case. They can't just go "Your honor, our client is such a cunt that having him on the stand would torpedo our case."

Niki would be a strong witness and victim for their side though, she is a bystander that did nothing wrong except marrying that fat turd and not tardwrangling him properly.

In the end, the farms will win.
Even if he gets a fat settlement, he will waste the money on lawfare against stalkerous children again.

Actually, it is the job of the police to respond to calls and handle issues without violating the United States Constitution.

Overnight? This was going on for two and a half years, and they admit to knowing fuckery was afoot and still didn't exercise restraint or due caution.
 
I really think you're underestimating how belligerent Patrick is. We'll see I guess, but if he gets depositioned, or goes before a judge, I am pretty sure he will blow any case he had right out of the water.
We'll see and it will be funny if he got money to do stupid things with and maybe he has pretty good lawyers, but he won't be able to help himself. Unless there's boombastick abuse on the police cameras,. his deposition will be his downfall.

It’s possible that there is a lawyer involved which we don’t know about, who is capable of reigning Patrick in.

Or someone helping who Fatrick actually trusts and will obey, but as he considers himself the smartest of men, then that’s more doubtful.

He was a half second from childing a judge that was at least sympathetic to him, but asking very basic questions. As far as I'm aware, he's never been subjected to a full deposition, or a cross examination. Even if he's attempting to be on his best behavior, I can't imagine him staying calm while a "liTTle baby-brained idioT"  dares to question his narrative.

Alright, so people on here keep thinking Milwaukee is worthy of defending or that they have the money to pay fatrick. So lets just run down a single instance of Milwaukee fucking up royally.

Last year, they held a referendum to increase property taxes to pay for their schools.

When a board of director opposed the tax increase, they investigated her for unethical conduct to remove her.

Vote passed with 51 percent support to raise 252 million for the shittiest schools in the country.

After the vote passed, MPS still said they were going to cut positions because of some budget issues. Turns out they weren't submitting anything to the state and were about to have their funding withheld for failure to prove where their money was going. The super intendent was allowed to resign (took a nice pay day with him), CFO was allowed to resign, comptroller was fired and everyone knew this was an issue but still let the vote go ahead to take more money from their citizens.

This is just a normal occurrence in Milwaukee. So I hope that

1. Fatrick gets money out of this lolsuit. A lolcow with money makes for way better content
2. Milwaukee officials get fired
3. Milwaukee decides to get revenge on Fatrick
4. This becomes a never ending cycle that wastes both Milwaukee and Fatrick's money as they go back and forth in an endless cycle of attacking each other
 
Once again, these are DV calls which the police are responding to. I'm no lawfag but the way I understand it the cops have even more leeway to fuck with you in these particular instances. I don't think pat has a chance.
 
In my completely half-assed google searching the only time I could find someone successfully suing for SWAT'ing was the guy who SWAT'ed someone over COD and the kid/guy ended up being fatally shot. I don't know about precedence in law or anything but it sounds like someone needs to actually be hurt or die to have an actual case against the city/police.

In all seriousness, I've said before, but the city is more than capable of fucking it all up. I just maintain that it's absolutely their case to lose. I think the "Pat gon' git dat bag! #ACAB" crowd tends to either look only at the very broad generalities of the case, rather than the specific contexts, and/or argue based on what they wish the law was, and not what the law is.
