I'm not sure it's necessarily that (at least not in all cases). I've seen it mostly used as a cheat code by the terminally dull and unremarkable to get instant "not like other boys/girls" cred. There's no follow-up required: you don't have to do anything or look/act a certain way to be non-binary. You just say the magic words - "I identify as non-binary" - and boom, all of a sudden you're no longer just another tedious, unemployed shut-in; you're a member of the magical and esteemed LGBT Community. It's basically the same thing as people who pick up trash for 5 minutes one day and then go on to put 'environmental volunteer' on their CVs for the rest of their lives, or the people who self-diagnose with PTSD because their parents told them "no" once.

The other thing to consider is that I imagine a large majority of 'non-binaries' are young, white and liberal (and thus buy into the notions of IDPol and the oppression hierarchy). Becoming 'non-binary' is a quick and effort-free way to immediately elevate themselves up the stack from the very bottom by glomming on to the LGBT cult, but in such a way that doesn't require any subsequent effort (aside from updating their Twitter bio).

Their confidence is what gets me, they look and style themselves like hot dog shit but are convinced they’re lovely sexy ladies that men lust openly for in public.

It has to be that male confidence because the grand majority of women aren’t that way.
Some days I wish I had the confidence of these men in dresses, it’s so bold but so determinedly retarded.

Oh I've seen a few of the lovely "ladies" myself and I have to agree with you. A lot of them look like eldritch horrors yet will dress like that daily. They know deep down that they look ugly but they'll try to fein confidence and do it well.

I agree to an extent, the generic ones who go "yeah I'm a they" are the ones who do it because they want to be different and garner attention. I was more reffering to the ones who begin to make up new genders and pronouns and pass it as biology.

I think there are "normal" ones who are just impressionable kids, mostly female, who het told they are at least NB for feeling awkward in their body (something not uncommon even beyond puberty). These probably grow out of it or, like "bisexual" women, get married to opposite sex anyways, and have it mean nothing to them but brownie points.

The rest are just insane and obsessed with labels.

I'm very much enjoying these based parents using Christmas as a means to passive-aggressively fuck with their tranny family members. Hopefully next year some troon will find his own taxidermied penis under the Christmas tree, perhaps incorporated into some sort of humorous Nativity diorama.

I have an appointment next Monday about starting HRT.

My name and pronouns aren't changing. My gender identity hasn't changed. I've just gotten worn down by the impossibility of being myself in a world that only wants to see me as "Cara's mom", and which reads me as female even when I'm wearing my pronouns on my fucking face.

I'm annoyed and sad that this version of me that I've worked so hard to learn to like is going to go away. I'm particularly sad about losing my voice. But as mad as I am about the impossibility of getting read as my gender, doing nothing is still a choice, and that choice is taking a severe toll on my mental health.

I'm looking for a new middle name that starts with A, because I wanted to make Agamemnon my middle name, but my husband doesn't want to have to write it on parenting forms and shit (which honestly, fair and reasonable), so it's going to be my SECOND middle name and I need a reasonable and normal Anglo first middle name.

Note how the nonbinary pooner takes her husband's feelings into account after he complains about not wanting to use a retarded name on forms. Whereas the hetero male troon would simply change his name to "Lillith Sparkleprincess Hotboobs" without giving a moment's thought to his wife and kids having to use it. These people never break out of the stereotypes.

So far, as is the common fate of pooners, the T seems to have just made her redder and fatter:

I agree with you that the progress they have made interfering with civil society, but to me even that is made of glass.

The blueprint for such movements have always been there. But the key in later years has been social media and the perverse incentive to get clicks and views. People say whatever they want and if they are loud enough they are treated as an authority.

Keep in mind..I believe the truth will win out, and unlike gay marriage, transgenderism has overstepped their authority in a lot of places and when under scrutiny it falls apart. As far as reddit is concerned they are drinking the Kool aid no matter what. But what I'm enjoying is watching them try to defend their positions when a lot of it is false and non-existent.

It's going to take awhile for things to get undone. But the fact that Nancy Grace can boldly talk about bathrooms and not get BF TO is promising to me..
