Nice chapter.
Wonder if the library/Vegapunk are going to be properly eliminated by the government this time round.
No. They took a fleet of 5 Elders, 1, Admiral and 10s of thousands of troops and got beat by a group of about 20 people to the point where they accomplished literally nothing apart from fucking themselves more.

And now somehow this Chapter reveals they accomplished less than nothing.

At this point Imu could nuke Elbaf we could see everyone drowning and dying. Get undeniable proof everyone was dead. And I would still expect them to somehow fail because of bs.

Egghead and this chapter confirms the WG can literally do nothing and is not a threat. And makes things worse whenever they try

As for the summoning circle, I really hope Oda isn’t having it where Shanks was a bad guy the whole time, if only because it’d go against everything that’s been shown about him.
It isn’t. Episode 1 is a thing. And it has been stated and shown time and again that Shanks will protect the peace. I could totally see Shanks teaming up with the WG if the alternative is worse.

But it’s obviously not him. Just like it is obvious Loki was set up.

It's good to see Robin get some closure to her mandatory Straw Hat Pirate tragic backstory.

Although it's a bit disappointing for Usopp to get to the island of mighty giant warriors and there not be any mighty giant warriors left because the king sold his country out to globohomo the World Government.

To add to this i don't think it matters because of Vegapunk's message. There's already enough information to shake an already shattered world couple that with how the Strawhats are still at large. It's been multiple and massive Ls for the WG right now.

I look forward to it possibly being El Hermano

Of course it would matter. You don’t want the Punks becoming even more of an issue. On top of everything else.

But 10s of thousands of men, Admirals and 5 Elders couldn’t take on a group of about 16 people.

The WG honestly needs a massive undisputed win at this point.

They basically need to nuke the entirety of Elbaf and kill everyone in my mind to even be remotely considered a threat in my mind.

Imu has got to have something big in his back pocket at this point beyond a Death Star to even contend.

But then Usopp might have to actually develop into that whole "Brave Warrior of the Sea" thing he always talked about instead of fucking crying like a bitch the moment something actually dangerous looks at him.

That's why I wish he wanted to be the Courageous Warrior of the Sea. Courage is fearing something but taking action anyway, bravery is having a lack of fear. Oda is clearly way too in love with Usopp freaking out at the slightest bit of danger to actually make Usopp brave.

I thought Usopp already had his moments like with the “I’m always negative” in Thriller Bark and with his fight against Sugar that got him to unlock observation Haki that got him to be called God Usopp. As well as the Sogeking disguise.

The only way I can see it is that Usopp is seriously lacking in self confidence and has a giant inferiority complex that keeps him from realizing all that’s he’s already accomplished. That or he needs affirmations from others about how great he is. Dude has some issues.

"As for you, my fine friend, you're a victim of disorganized thinking. You are under the unfortunate delusion that simply because you run away from danger you have no courage. You're confusing courage with wisdom. Back where I come from, we have men who are called heroes. Once a year, they take their fortitude out of moth balls and parade it down the main street of the city and they have no more courage than you have. But they have one thing that you haven't got - a medal. Therefore, for meritorious conduct, extraordinary valor, conspicuous bravery against young girls, I award you the Triple Cross. You are now a member of the Legion of Courage."

The fact Oda hates Wizard of Oz makes this even funnier.

shanks having a twin would explain how he got the nika fruit in the first place. the clone/twin could have been the one in charge of transport while actual shanks just showed up and stole it without them realizing it was not the right one.

though honestly my theory is still that shanks is the son of saint garling and while he is nice at heart his goal is to wait for the right person to show up and find the one piece and kill them afterwards so that imu can get it.

it seems unlikely but keep in mind kanjuro was a thing back in wano and if he can pretend to be good for that amount of time anythings possible.

Here's the issue with that: if Shanks was some kind of evil where he'd kill somebody to give the treasure to Imu, he wouldn't be a father figure type to Luffy. And he certainly wouldn't give Luffy his hat. And he certainly wouldn't be happy to see Luffy reach Gear 5. I'll concede he has his reasons for doing what he does that's waiting for the endgame to explain, but Shanks being a villain would be really stupid.

Also, wasn't Doflamingo's whole thing that his family lost their Celestial Dragon/0.0repeating1 percent status, and he's basically been on a warpath to get it back or take everyone and everything down with him?

Until we learn more about this summoning circle and the guys that came out of it, I'll have to refrain from making predictions for this.

Well, the Jump Festa was pretty underwhelming. Fifty minutes and the only things of note was Franky's VA passing the torch (or in this case the speedo) and a movie announcement with no information or trailer or anything.

The new VA for Franky is Subaru Kimura, who also voices Young Buggy. He might be able to pull it off.

As for the manga, I still think Loki did something really bad if Lola- the woman who was proposing to every man she met- didn't want to marry him.

Outside of Jump Festa, Inaki Godoy (the Live Action Luffy) got to spend some time with Oda.

Now that the official translation is out, the opening reveals he was imitating Jimbei when he showed up in Wano:
