Ah ok. TikTok told me that Pierre wrote to the governer general who told Trudeau to either call for an election or a confidence vote on the first non-holiday day before January 1rst.

The Governor is some Chug woman Trudeau appointed plus when I was listening to CBC radio in my car they were saying it's improper procedure for the GG to step in / respond to the leader of the opposition. Only responding to the PM.

wut?

How are the NDP likely to get more seats then currently?

What ever that pollster is smoking I want some. The NDP will be lucky to keep 20, let alone add more seats. They will win only what they always win and nothing more. Singh has tanked the NDP outside the enclaves of stupidity who always vote NDP.
I'm guessign that to some people it hasn't clicked that if it wasn't for Singh we would've had a change in government by now.

I don't like Jagmeet since he has a really bad taste in watches and cars. Rolex, come on man those are highly overrated watches for rich normies. Who are you trying to impress?
Also why a frickin' Maserati? Who are you, the Penguin?

The wrong people are applying for MAID IMHO...
MAID was only ever going to be a Liberal/Bloc/Green/NDP self-deletion program, ironically.

Gotta love how Jagmeet was like 'It's #NOTMYMaserati !' like it's not either his wife's or the NDP's.

When even the Liberal MP's don't like the Prime Minister really shows something about Justin Trudeau.
They don't like that they're losing. They're more than happy to go along with him otherwise. And that's why the liberal party needs to be expunged from parliament next election

Quebec and it's citizens are not really French, they are fake French.
Despite their insistence on being 'pure laine', they are really just French-flavored North American whites. If you look at Saint Pierre and Miquelon, the people are far less North American in terms of their lives and culture despite being right beside Newfoundland and effectively non-existent in the eyes of France.

Ironically I also think that majority of Canadian aboriginals are like this too, and are culturally close to poor rural whites with a large part of their 'aboriginalness' layered on top (whatever they could recreate after the 50s), though most would not like to admit this.

There's also another option in Canada retaining the south bank of the St. Lawrence - i.e. Sherbrooke and the Gaspé peninsula. Such an option makes it easier retaining Montreal given it's guaranteed the city won't vote in favour of independence and scoops up most of the remaining Anglo population as well. Equally as unlikely as Quebec annexing the Maritimes, but a further reason for showing why any independent Quebec just won't work. At least peacefully.
There's also the thing about the Innu and other aboriginals in the far north getting opportunities to renegotiate their deals. Quebec likes to claim that their relationship with the aboriginals are far better and that provinces are indivisible, but the aboriginals are the ones living there, and the messiness of independence offers them the opportunity to get far better deals negotiating between Canada and Quebec. I would not be surprised if they get their own territory or province regardless of which side they stay on.

And of course the big hydroelectrical dams and mining potential are all in their territories...

I am not Canadian and haven’t visited the country in over a decade but…

I do have friends there mostly in Alberta and British Colombia. I actually agree with the Red Tories on a lot of things. Probably the faction I would support if I was a Leaf. Since I am American who spends time in the Philippines and fully intends to return I generally go for whatever is closest to the Populist Right or Union Left respectively. I can’t really think of much to fix Canada overall. Friends in BC tell me the cost of living is bad. Friends in Alberta tell me it’s kind of hard to find work.

Failed state? Now that I don’t know really. The fact the Chinese are buying up a lot of real estate and the Indians and Pakis are a super influential group probably doesn’t help.
