No, there's no inconsistency. If Ei is acting humorless and mechanical, then it's the Shogun puppet doing the talking. If she's warm and friendly, then it's Ei herself possessing the puppet and talking to you. If you go through the character voice lines you can see the distinction pretty well.

Saurians don't feel like they're for "new players"IMO, mote like they're just the "reigon specific gimmick" like fontaine's swimming.

I meant being able to attack, no reason to add it besides using it as some form of interaction with stuff to break etc, and players with better chars won't have any need for it. other stuff is so you can use the movement gimmicks in natlan even if you don't have one of the characters (it's still worse iirc).

I only remember he exists because he's literally named "Gaming" and that feels like a kind of meta in-joke even if it's not the same pronunciation as gaming. Like the thing where a character's name is spelt "shithead" but it's "sitheed" or if it's like "dumbass and it's dum buaus" or some shit.

I believe he also appeared in the recent event for Nahida's birthday. Didn't stop me from going "who the fuck is this guy" when he appeared. If he does appear for Cyno's story, at least he gets more screen time than Emelie. She appears for her obligatory story quest and that's it.

Sethos is directly tied to cyno so pretty much all his plot relevant stuff is within sumeru's quests involving cyno with some minor appearances outside them IIRC his initial appearance in the first quest he showed up in was literally a "who the fuck is this guy" kind of situation which makes these comments funnier if I'm remembering that quest correctly.

I am absolutely slow at raising my World level / EQ level. I've hoarded enough XP to increase my rank twice or thrice. But I never get to it.

Anyway no Neuvi yet. I'm prepared to lose the 50/50 and make my moves on Citlali. But who fucking knows at this point. Rng is a bitch.

On the other hand I'm hoarding stellar jades for a few ten pulls because yet again I'm pulling double duty.

I can't wait until True Herta banner. Unless she runs with Argenti or someone I want.

Hopefully though it's Jade as the leakers rumored. Speaking of gem, I kinda wonder when we'll get the other Stonehearts.

And while I'm rambling, has anyone seen the increasing want for Screwlum to be playable? I'm indifferent either way but I found it slightly funny.

I am absolutely slow at raising my World level / EQ level.

I mean you should increasing WL as long as you properly leveling up your main dps character. It's only around WL 8/adventure rank 45-50 or so, then you would worry about gearing. Higher world level means more efficient to farm. Before that, you can just max out artifact levels without worrying anything - even if they aren't a full set. It also helps easing difficulty. Unless you screw yourself over leveling bunch of "unnecessary" stuffs.
During those lower world level, characters levels + talents + weapons account for like half (or even majority) of your damage. The other half is from proper artifact levels. Moving from WL 7 to 8 isn't much big of a deal. Unlike 8 to 9.

About HSR Screwllum, he's been there since the start of the game. At least back then, people wanted him because of old leak schedule and being a non-human.
But now with the whole Genshin "going back to its root", teases zero 5* male and Citlali being affectionate towards Traveler Aether have more people complaining. So prepare your own popcorn, but for me those salts are even too much. It's not even nice to consume anymore. I mean you can read the thread at mystery character leaks, don't even need to visit like genshingays or queensofgenshin for extra salt and spice. A lot act like they got betrayed/backstabbed or something. But they still delude themselves as in somehow MHY being dumb and pander to incels, not because MHY knows exactly statistic to make more money.
Let's say this graph is mostly correct for mobile revenue, Genshin is definitely getting worse overtime, Natlan doesn't seem doing great for MHY need.



I'm happy with WuWa picking JP cast for Phoebe (Kaede Hondo) and Zani (Hitomi Ueda) though. One is Sakura from Zombieland Saga and other is Uma Musume's Goldship. Kinda sad because Citlali is Zombieland Saga's Saki. Almost forgot, female Rover is Lily in Saga too. Maybe nerds at Kurogames also like Saga, Goldship appeared in Yugiri 3d bar before. Maybe WuWa will have full band members in.

As I've said before, at a minimum they need to double the length of time you can use a characters mobility skill before it drains phlogiston and half the rate of phlogiston drain. Chasca is great, but she can't fly from the waypoint near the alchemy bench in Mondstadt to Katherine. That's comically short and means as soon as I'm done exploring Natlan all the Natlan characters will never be in my Overworld team again.

I fucking hope Snezhnaya has a better gimmick. I guess we'll get a hint of it when the Nod Krai area drops in 5.7

All of the games made by this company feel incredibly overwhelming to me. Dozens of menus, popups, and a seemingly insane amount of content is what a new player is presented with. I am definitely not used to this type of game I suppose. I've actually tried to get into genshin in particular a handful of times because cute women but it's never stuck for me. I don't think these games are for me. Reading through this thread, that might be a good thing

it just looks worse than it is, people like to complain (me included), but if they didn't like the game they wouldn't complain in the first place.

it's interesting tho that it's overwhelming for you, imo hoyo did a somewhat good job with genshin spreading it out (otoh I don't know how bad it is now 4 years later). once you figure it out it's pretty simple, but it does takes a bit of time to wrap your head around it.

besides the new zone, new enemies, new events and some QoL, biggest news imo you can change between male/female rover every 24h, and kuro is coming for our wallets even harder

jihnsi's skin doesn't look as good imo, but it comes with the full package: avatar, signature, weapon skin and new animations like the diluc skin. if that will be the same for every 5* or just the rare "premium" skin they didn't say.

Screwlum was always popular but he's ironically the most fakely leaked character in HSR history. Pre-release he was going to release in 1.2 then in 1.6 but Ratio allegedly stole his kit then after the end of penacony story quest and and then 3.0 but allegedly herta stole his kit. No one takes his leaks seriously anymore but everyone is still praying.

Also you're unsure about your strenght, you can keep at WL6 and level 50 for a while because that already unlocks all domains in the game and max leyline rewards, past that the only significant (resin value) upgrade is a little bit more gem drops and then WL9 gives 3 boss drops. By WL7 you're expected to hold level 90 weapons, level 5+ talents and 5* artifacts.

Nahida's real unique exploration quirk is technically scanning Sumeru people's minds which is exclusive to natlan yeah but way more interesting and completely exclusive. Catching flowers from afar is goated too.

I dont know if genshin is really dropping cause i don't hoyo doing any significant changes now or in the future.

I don't believe ZZZ is dying or anything but at least that game got significand changes didn't it? They removed TV from story missions, changing core mechanics and are giving a lot of gems which feels too early in it's life.

I think ZZZ is just harder to keep player retention cause all you do is fight and it's too horny/memey to give a fuck about the story. It's combat system also makes it the most vulnerable to powercreep but it's too early to feel it.

Da Wei fake cried about how much they're listening but genshin really isn't that much different and is argueably getting worse and more gimmicky, so i guess it must not be that bad moneywise for them.

Ifa does have white hair tho, there is an ingame wood portrait of him. If you mean skin then yeah, his portrait makes him ambiguously tanned and i feel people will say they whitewashed him regardless.

The only one that looks like they could be from Genshin is Mualani. Yes the surfboard shark is a bit weird but she has a shop for water equipment so at least there's an explanation for it.

But the guy with the 8-bit theme and Xilonen with her DJ equipment? Nothing that even remotely suggests there should be anything modern in the region. Especially not in their tribes. And that's not even counting the very modern-looking motorcycle the Archon has.
