He didn't just "owe money to the bank" or whatever the jim simps in here are trying to downplay it as, they obviously owed enough money and were irresponsible enough that they had to be taken to court over it.

If you can't afford the credit card or hate credit card companies, don't fucking have a credit card and use it to buy anime figurines or whatever the hell he was spending it on. No one is making you have it, and nobody is putting charges on it except you.

That's not a new thing, either. We used to have a mod here named emspex that pointed that out frequently. I think maybe she was actually ahead of her time in doing that.

And no offense to anyone here, but you're kinda seeing it in this thread here right now, even though it moved out of Multimedia and redesignated as a lolcow thread forever ago.

This is one of the few threads on KF I know of, residing in a lolcow subforum, where if you say anything negative about the subject of the thread you get dogpiled and called nasty names by fans of the subject. At times it feels like it's still in Multimedia.
