I didn't see him read any of the mail, but it might be possible nick had his name on a mailbox?
But it didn't seem like he read anything so I don't think that was it.
It seems like he really did go there because of Nick.

I know I'm probably late once again but if he came over to kill Nick, why would he knock on his door and not break in, if that's what he ended up doing at his neighbors house?

When I shot 22 hollow points as a youth, 1/8 of an inch of metal plating could stop the round, albeit with a dent. .357 shredded the same metal plating with a massive hole. This was my hand's on lesson to show difference in caliber.

My guesses:
1) He wanted Nick to pull the same thing Nick did on the old Jewish lady by swinging open he door to try and mace him. Making for an easy kill shot.
2) If he broke in and Nick was upstairs in his bedroom, he might have feared that Nick would come down locked and loaded towards the intruder who broke in.
3) Maybe his door is obviously more secure than his neighbors.

That said, after looking at the video again due to @urr13 account's, the killer has his gun pointed down and in a relaxed position instead of a kill position.

Maybe it isn't a non-zero chance that this is an incredibly retarded groper who for some reason after riding his motorcycle to Nick's place, unpacked his gun to ring Nick's bell. The last hope of a doomed man? The only guy that would understand that women are evil and criminal's are based?

Caliber matters but what really matters is the energy load in the bullet. It’s why a .22 LR can be lols but a .223 can be holes.

Shooting .38 special and .357 magnum from the same gun teaches a lot.
