Given the distance travelled, I would agree it does look deliberate.

Whoever made the point about the mail being in full view does leave open the possibility that he just saw Nicks name on the mail. I mean fuck he shot some barking dogs, it sounds like he'd of gone after anybody.

Ultimately though this could happen to any public figure. This guy wasn't an "assassin" even if he was targeting Nick, he was a family annihilator with some spare time before the police caught up to him. More Randy Stair or Elliot Rodger than Agent 47.

The police report said that he murdered his family in Mahomet, IL, which is a tiny town outside of Champaign, IL. The only thing of note about Champaign is that the University of Illinois is there, it's essentially a large college town. If he's in his 20s there's a chance that he was a student and that would be the school he'd end up going to if he wasn't doing community college.
