Canada has a suprisingly small population. They would get MORE ECs (and a lot more senate seats) if it was split up.

The real punchline is that the left can no longer ignore Trump's legacy. If he had walked away in 2020 Trump would have been a footnote in US political history. But facilitating the largest land acquisition in US history and essentially completing Manifest Destiny (in North America at least) would guarantee him a spot in the top 5 slot of most important presidents.

Can I note, on a personal level, Crenshaw is an absolute bitch boy. He has an unbelievably high level of personal arrogance utterly unbacked by anything but his own ego. He believes, sincerely, that because he lost an eye as a SEAL he is -owed- whatever he wants from the Government and the American people. His belief is so encompassing that he is lead by the nose by the Uniparty, voting for whatever they want, so long as they coax it in language that strokes his ego. The man is considered by everyone in politics to be one of if not -the- easiest to trick and manipulate out of everyone in congress.

Was this the bill they were so fucking smug about "we will do a bill that will lock in spending for years so Trumpster will not be able to cut any budgets".
I remember people were super smug about some plan to make sure the spending was codified and all the "take that orange man".

Was that this bill? I din't pay attention. Would be fun if it was. I love seeing smug plans backfire regardless of which side.
