Hello fellow weebs. Author ***former editor*** decided it'd be a great idea to beat his wife to death with their kids in the other room.

Still so gross he'd do that to the mother of his kids. Do you think it'll effect the release of next season?

(Also, regarding the actual crime, I'm shocked and appalled that someone would do this, and also at the possibility that this may well happen often but due to the low profiles of certain perpetrators it's not reported in as much detail.)

Doesn't sound patronizing at all, but they are showing the story on daytime news now and attaching his name to the AoT brand. (Which is why I thought he was the author) I hope they don't try to spin this like 'being involved in a violent animation makes you violent' sort of thing.
 
Did he at least cosplay as Mikasa Jaegarbomb or whatever the main character's name is and shout "SIE SIND DAS ESSEN UND WIR SIND DIE JAGER!!!!" while hopped up on bath salts thinking she was the big ass lady Titan.?

Not really, because one, this is a grown ass man, not some kid or teenage punk committing these awful acts, so no one will believe some grown ass man that is married with kids would duplicate what he saw on television, if he did, that would be most humorous that the media would just make fun of him. Second, this is Japan, not the States, where we blame everything for every single problem(ie it was the vidya games, the rock music, the pokemons and the south parks!) And since this is Japan, there aren't that many Christians there that would say oh this is the work of Satan, and no one in Japan would care if the Pokerap backwards says Oh Satan a thousand times, well maybe since this is Japan, an incident like this might discourage people from marriage than ever before like they are doing now, since, well you know.
 
We're only 10 days into the new year and there's been so many fucked up murders, Jesus Christ.

The Japanese know that everybody (especially China) would take a dump on their heads and remind them of their war crimes at the first report of a Korean getting beaten up. Methinks that will only rile up the far-right and reinforce discrimination against them, but there won't be any violence.
 
So it's shocking that a show that is thinly disguised vore and gigantism porn fodder would attract weirdoes?
