Unfortunately for her, SmashJT is more than popular enough that if he decides to pass the hat, he'll be able to raise enough to cover expenses. I think this probably won't survive a motion to dismiss though.
 
I seem to be the only one who has looked up the other two lawyers involved. While Lane is a terrible lazy ambulance chaser, the other two are not. It will end up a shit show if it goes to court and probably why it looks like their names are only on it to get a quick settlement. If not, this is just going to be another Kick Vic suit. Smash wont be seen as a legit journalist in court due to the Youtube videos so he can't go that route as he would need to work for a more legit company for that. You have one lawyer who worked for the Pokemon Company to go after fan projects and Bungie to go after cheaters and leakers, yes the same one that went after than one cheater guy for millions, and the other lawyer is known for his BLM "protester" lawsuits.

is also of Turkish ethnicity.
145. Piker’s commentary, particularly covering the Israel/Hamas War that
began on October 7, 2023, has drawn ire from many sources.53

146. Streamer “Destiny”54 attacked Mercante for her coverage of Piker,
digging up a two-year-old article written about Piker by Mercante.55
147. Tarzia piled on, with a video and blog post amplifying Destiny’s
derogatory comments about Mercante.56

removal of Alyssa Mercante from the video games journalism space, there is no
doubt as to his intentions.
234. Jeff Tarzia cannot claim that he, as an influencer and political
commentator, is merely participating in the marketplace of ideas when his sole goal
is to remove or otherwise silence voices with which he disagrees.
235. Jeff Tarzia should be able to hide behind a pretense of free expression
when the sum total of his actions have been to enable a targeted hate mob against
one person, costing her livelihood, her peace, and her peace of mind.

All of that looks like it was written by Lane and J.Remy and Don are on it to try and force a quick settlement. However I bet they're willing to wait until the lawsuit is finished to get paid and will put in the work if Smash doesn't settle.

While J.Remy would still put his name on this if it had a chance of failing, Don would not. New York sided with a bunch of criminal niggers and nigger apologists in J.Remy's case when they shouldn't have. People also said that Vic should have won his case and look how that turned out when he was "in the right".

She is quite literally an unreliable witness because a central part of this is her getting fired from Kotaku, we have all seen her claim differently. She has recorded herself via twitch she directly states She leaves Kotaku because of the G/O media management was not supporting her and her hours didn't work.

Idk who vic is, but him losing this would have enormous implications and make it so you're essentially responsible for other people's criticism it's insane on it's face
