While I'm thinking about it, don't buy a pop filter, you can just move the mic off to the side. Make sure it's pointed at your mouth still, just out of the immediate direction you're talking toward. Save yourself 20 bucks. And make sure you're about 6 inches away.

No, definitely buy a pop filter @taxedbrass and not a cheap shitty one. the Stedmans are nice. Also, if you can get some cloth to hang, and some foam in the corners for reflections, the quality of your recordings will go up as much as the microphone will allow. There's no digital way to fix plosives or room resonance/reverb that sounds good.

No, Just have good recording technique. It isn't that difficult, and it'll sound better than just talking directly into your mic with a pop filter. Build good habits early. Here's what that mic sounds like with no fiter and decent technique.


You're audience is mostly YouTube chucklefucks who don't mind bad reflections all that much, not audio engineers. Worry about turning your room into an audio crack shack after you've secured decent starter equipment. If you hate the way it sounds with your area untreated, THEN you can care about padding your walls like a maniac. Want my advice? Get some cheap T pins and tack moving blankets on the walls. Those're like 20 bucks a pop from home depot. If you don't hate the way you sound, your audience probably won't either.

I posted that earlier in the thread. In The Weekly Sip from February 30, 2022, he says there is video proof the truckers are violent, and he also is going to use testimony from friends of his who witnessed it.

If what Dev said in that first attached video is right we may see a full response vid from Dev soon.
