Anyone who said they moved from X to Bluesky to avoid AI scraping their art is either a liar or a moron. For almost all of them, it's purely a political move. There's also nothing stopping anyone from scraping images on Bluesky to train AI models.

Everyone else moving to Bluesky from X because "X is toxic" or whatever just wants a hugbox, and that's what Bluesky is. Bluesky has an extremely aggressive censorship algo that will immediately hide any wrongthink, and even suspend accounts based off a single post that's caught by their algo. It's actually worse than pre-Musk Twitter in this respect.

X's biggest problem is spam. Elon's done nothing to solve this issue, and actually has made it worse ever since he started selling blue checks and paying users for their engagement level. X also doesn't fairly apply limited visibility to posts for "hateful conduct." I've seen accounts get away with saying "faggot" numerous times, while other accounts will get a post slapped with the limited visibility label if they say "faggot" even once.

His account has degraded pretty heavily recently, lots of shitty engagement bait that has nothing to do with community notes, he's also doing the "start deepthroating Elon" thing that a lot of dying engagement bait/gimmick accounts (like that Santa one) seem to be doing.

I see this a lot. Some people really just shouldn't have social media. They can't process actual conversation and interpret it as an attack
 
I decided to try a social experiment it's just a prank, bro on Twitter cos I thought it was just a meme that was a legacy of Elol's jihad against cisgenderism. Turns out that if you reply to (seemingly) any account with the word 'cisgender', either just the word or as part of a sentence, the reply is auto-muted. It only works if there's either nothing else in the tweet or there's whitespace bounding the word. Sometimes it ignores it when it's in a sentence but I haven't been able to elucidate the rules that the automod algorithm is using. It doesn't seem to work if you make a post with the word 'cisgender' in it, it's just replies.

Seems plausible considering that they demote posts with offsite links (e.g. to news articles) and for a while (started at the end of 2022, dunno if they ever stopped) they banned links to other socmedia platforms

Well, it is Xitter's rules - it's a private company, they can do as they wish. No amount of "follow me on Bullshit" on "clear blue skies" will work.

That policy was reversed fairly quickly because it was ridiculous. But I could believe they demote posts with links to competitors.
