I understand the pivot since let's plays aren't doing as well as they used to do, but goddamn I really hate when they nuke their old content as well. They could at least put it in a playlist or an archive channel for the people who did like that content. Reminds me of Urinatingtree, he stopped doing Angry video game reviews and switched to sports videos years back to great success mind you, but he took off all his old shit. Luckily another channel archived what I believe are all his old reviews

At least he is ashamed of his past autism, there was one LP (Sonic Heroes?) where he sperged at his audience about letting his female friends play the easy campaign or something?

theres an episode of his punch out let's play where he drops an n-bomb, and yea i remember that i also remember he apologized for calling rouge a whore. i think he also had them on a toy story lets play that he deleted. he deleted everything with his friends because they didnt want to be part of his autistic videos anymore. i swear either johnny or someone else, either exoparadigmgamer or geek critique, complained that the easy mode was for the girls in their review of it. full on "it was a different time" tier rant
 
Seems like SGB and Brainscratch are all in on Bluesky. Seems like even during the end of the tranny fad era they're going off the deep end.

I unsubbed Geek Critique after that faggot started virtue signaling about his support of fags. I haven't seen Exoparadigmgamer do anything like that but he comes off as the type who would.
 
I used to watch some of Clement's early LP stuff back when he was doing his massive Sonic autism game marathon and the Eggman jokes here and there were sometimes entertaining, but I distinctly recall a now-deleted Duke Nukem Forever review where he was chastising Duke's chauvinism humor like an absolute feminist virgin so it wouldn't surprise me he'd eventually go down this route.

(Also that mustache and goatee make him look absolutely jaded. What fucking content creation does to people, seriously).

As for Johnny, hardly really watched a whole lot of his stuff but I'd totally expect him to start slowly shifting more and more off the deep end given how he's just another run of the mill-reviewer now. Call me a hack but I actually liked his psuedo-AVGN clone type reviews as he was at least being more energetic about things and back then his SGB channel co-op gave me some laughs.
 
I used to watch every episode of Johnny VS as they were released. The videos didn't get atrocious, but Johnny used to release an odd episode with extra effort put in. Those were always fun, but after a while he just stopped releasing those kinds of videos. SGB I haven't watched consistently since Johnny moved south to Georgia. Even when he moved back, I didn't have much will to start watching again. SGB had great moments though. I remember the futon destruction fondly.

As for politics, Johnny comes off as someone who's worldview crystalized around whatever urban neo-liberals are trotting out at a given time. I will argue that Johnny doesn't seem to care about politics to the extent that he'll go full breadtuber. He seems to avoid games that might cause controversy and he limits himself to the occasional PSA-like statement; at least when I last watched his videos.

I used to watch SomeCallMeJohnny back in 2015-2017, I loved his Metal Gear marathon. I still watch him from time to time but his newer videos feel lifeless.

Tbh: I feel like he's resting on his laurels nowadays. He used to really go above and beyond for his older reviews, but now he frequently just goes "meh, I'll emulate it." or "I didn't bother to play that game because I don't care." His voice has also changed a lot. Is he on SSRIs now or something?

He lost his touch. I still binge watch his videos from pre 2016, anything post election craze is lethargic to watch. It's like he submitted to the YouTube grift and began to over-shill for Raycon, Surfshark and betterhelp. It became less about the games and his thoughts about them and more about getting a paycheck so he could "pay the bills". It doesn't help that he has one of those retarded, dorky fanbases who eat up anything he does.

The problem is also that the sonic fanbase is definitely more liberal leftist leaning in a bad way. If you became famous mostly because of your sonic stuff, you can't have any edgy takes at all or you're done.
 
somecallmejohnny has the comfiest format circa 2011 to 2016 where it was no frills, him reviewing the game. now it feels he's gone back to the wacky humor of his avgn clone days

It's like he reviewed most of the games he cared about and just doesn't care anymore. I still watch his stuff because I like to hear about video games, and he can occasionally muster up some energy for certain games, like Resident Evil or Donkey Kong 64. Aside from the DKC and DK64 videos, his Donkey Kong marathon was very disappointing, as he skipped an entire era of Donkey Kong content that was interesting (the GameCube and GBA games)
