Raccoons can actually be dangerous to pets like dogs. If a dog doesn't know not to mess around with a raccoon it can rip them to bloody shreds. If you don't have a farm though you can usually just get rid of whatever is attracting them. Put out your trash in the morning and not the night before collection, don't leave outside food for pets, etc.

And skunks are rarely even a nuisance.

So I can see having to get rid of a raccoon, but a skunk? Why? The only reason he even had it was he idiotically trapped it allegedly trying to trap a feral cat. This scenario is so idiotic it's hard to imagine anyone actually doing it, but it is Balldo, and he is a complete idiot, so who knows.

This is getting old fast. April seems to have reduced the "meaning and value of life" down to occasional smile she considers herself blessed to experience, probably in between prolonged episodes of sobbing. Nick causes her to smile every now and again, and that is the pinnacle of her existence at this point in time. Not to mention the fact that whether she cries or smiles it's 100% depending on conditions out of her control, aka Nick decides it.

He's not going to get the benefit of an argument he didn't even make. He could try but the judge has already ruled he waived that argument. Just like if you plead guilty to something, you don't just automatically get that thrown out if your codefendant takes it to trial and wins.

It's actually pretty common to play goofy scheduling games like this. I think it's dumb in this case for Nick because I think it's a lot more likely things actually get worse for him by then.

And the prosecution can yank a deal pretty much any time until the ink is on the paper (there might be some exceptions like a mailbox rule that it is considered accepted the moment the signed document is mailed).
 
If Kayla drove Nick to the courthouse yesterday, I think that substantially raises the possibility that his drivers license is suspended. There was a reasonable amount of circumstantial evidence of this from his traffic citations and offenses. But him not being behind the wheel going to his own court hearing really starts to point in that direction.

Yeah once chat clued him in on what happened he just shrugged it off as the settlement conference just being postponed until Kayla's motion was decided and that nothing had changed. That's why I think everyone is overthinking the "He's gonna fight!" reaction based on a nothing delay.

But not April's being suspended after a single citation and no show.

AFAIK, that was a stupid idea that originated on the Kino Casino meant to suggest she's chained up in Nick's second house or some shit.

April can likely leave anytime she wants. I just don't think she has anywhere to go, and is hoping to steal Nick from Kayla. She's not a victim. She's a homewrecker.

In Balldo's case it's because he's probably an animal abuser, but from folks I used to work with who grew food and had smaller critters they've apparently had their own cases of them getting fucked up. My town is on the smaller side (like 30k I want to say), and a lot of people here happen to have chicken coops in their yards within city limits. Unless you're way out in the sticks you're not usually able to just shoot them and be done with it, so I want to think the drowning thing is just some carryover passed down through family. Who knows, maybe they harvest the meat afterward since they're intact. Hunting is big around here, so even the people doing the drowning thing have enough respect for wildlife to not torture animals.

In any case it's no doubt just an animal cruelty thing with Nick.

It completely and utterly fucks them in this case. Because Kayla's clueless attorney, Who I honestly suspect is not getting any of the full story from her client or her pathological liar husband, just effectively put Aaron on the witness list. Prior to this he was a "maybe", but now they have directly accused him of Swatting. Which means it is much more likely that the prosecution will take a more serious look at the cyber crimes claims, as witness intimidation is now a clear part of this counties prosecution. Not simply the county looking at the revenge porn matter.
