US Incoming Dem trans Rep Sarah McBride rages against GOP Nancy Mace's bill to keep males out of women's congressional bathrooms - "Playing make believe dress up doesn't mean you should be allowed in women's private spaces."

Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina doesn't want to share women's bathrooms with men and introduced on Monday a bill that would ban biological males from using women's bathrooms in the US Capitol. Incoming Rep. Sarah McBride of Delaware claimed that Mace's bill is an attempt from "far right-wing extremists to distract from the fact that they have no real solutions to what Americans are facing." But it's likely that McBride, the first trans rep heading to the House, has a more personal perspective. If Mace's proposal goes through, McBride would have to use the men's room.

"Playing make believe dress up doesn't mean you should be allowed in women's private spaces," the GOP congresswoman said. The bill would prevent any male with any job from using spaces that were designated for women. Under the Biden-Harris administration, the word "woman" was broadened to mean either females or men who said they were women. The incoming Trump-Vance administration has vowed to reverse that linguistic confusion, and Mace would like to get a head start with congressional bathrooms.

The ban on men in women's spaces would have to be enforced by the House sergeant-at-arms William McFarland, The Hill reports, noting that "it is unclear how the House’s chief law enforcement officer will determine who can and cannot use the Capitol’s facilities." Mace is looking for the provision to be included in the rules package for the 119th Congress, in which the GOP will maintain a slim majority.

In response to Mace, McBride attempted to deflect from the trans issue and make the bathroom thing about everyone. "Every day Americans go to work with people who have life journeys different than their own and engage with them respectfully, I hope members of Congress can muster that same kindness," McBride said.

"This is a blatant attempt from far right-wing extremists to distract from the fact that they have no real solutions to what Americans are facing," McBride continued. "We should be focused on bringing down the cost of housing, health care, and child care, not manufacturing culture wars. Delawareans sent me here to make the American dream more affordable and accessible and that’s what I’m focused on."

Earlier this year, Mace grilled former New York mayoral candidate Maya Wiley on that question it's so hard for progressives to answer, "Can you define what a woman is?"

In response, Wiley said "A woman is a person who says she is."

McBride believes that Republicans have a "bizarre obsession with trans people."

Polling shows that most Americans believe women's sports should be female only and that sex-segregated spaces for women, from bathrooms to battered women's shelters to prisons to dressing rooms, should be for women only. In recent years, as a result of executive orders signed by President Joe Biden, the concept of "gender identity" has been conflated with "women" so that there's very little way to distinguish the two in language. Those differences, however, become substantially more clear in bathrooms.

The more I learn about Mace, the more she reminds me of J.K. Rowling. She's a rather middle-of-the-road Republican, supports legalizing marijuana and allowing abortion exceptions for rape and incest, among other positions. Nothing about her screams conservative extremist; she comes across as more of a moderate, even somewhat liberal on certain issues. Mace simply wants to keep women-only spaces free of men. Because of that, she's now public enemy number 1 among fetishists and their allies.

Just like Rowling, I hope Mace doesn't back down. Never let men in dresses intimidate you from doing the right thing, Nancy. Once you let trannies in women's bathrooms and locker rooms, it's open season on women and girls.

Context: A common anti-TERF talking point is "if you think trans women can't be women, then that's no different to saying black women can't be women". The amount of lefties who think it's ok to basically compare black women with masculinity is baffling
Also isn't gender critical feminism pretty popular with African feminists?

Woke retards have a strict hierarchy of oppression, and if you are a tranny you are at the top. And from their perspective racism is something that goes from least oppressed towards more oppressed. That's why they fully support racism against whites or against straight black conservatives, and why they trivialize or ignore black on asian racism. In their world it is not real racism, because it goes against the oppression hierarchy.

"She looks absolutely unhinged" as she remains on her seat while a tranny yells at her surrounded by a crowd that also doesn't seem to like her. I'd say she did a good job of keeping her cool. AOC talking about someone craving attention is the cherry on top.

It's better if they don't because then you'd have to wonder why aren't they doing it on X/Twitter where more people can see it and the answer is because they can't handle being outside of their hugbox.

She needs to mace some trannies to make a cool sentence.
They're more likely to mace her while she's at the podium and claim self defense.

Which may prompt her to retaliate.

And then we'll get the ultimate cool sentence.

"Mace maces macer who maced Mace with a mace"

And when I say "mace"? I indeed mean the medieval kind.

Yup. No matter how this bill pans out, it's not good for the Democrats since the tranny stuff is really unpopular with the voters. They have a small but very vocal group in their party that'll lose their minds over this and wonder why the Dems overall is staying quiet. It's a damned if they do and damned if they don't situation and the Reps will use it to their full advantage.
They don't have any way to dial it down. The Democrat machine has spent years not just enabling a group of psychotic, malignant narcissists but holding them up as the most virtuous of the lot. Trannies are going to get more unhinged until there's real action taken against them.

I don't know who Mace is or what she stands for, but I absolutely love her arc as a based and ruthless TERF terminator. Its wholesome as well as funny

This is the most irritating fucking tactic these people use. They do it to J.K. Rowling all the time.

Someone calmly expresses an opinion that they arrived at, usually after a lot of in-depth research and thought, about a topic that they consider to be important, and they respond with this bullshit "Um, sweaty, are you OK? You sound like you're crazy? Like, why are you so obsessed with this? This is just insane."

Can we call this what it is? It's gaslighting and it's fucking abusive.

Also, fuck off MovieBob, you fucking chair-sniffer.

It's very abusive, I had a boss like that. It drives you insane, which is what they seem to want.

The thing is, as has been mentioned, it's so transparent in this instance, because the people who are trying to convince you that you're the crazy one are the ones who are so obviously acting like fucking crazy people!

Even with all of the other regressive discussion trends, this one is the final nail in the coffin of conversation.

"Please stop raping me."
"Oh, rape eh? You certainly seem a bit sex obsessed, sweaty, are you in therapy for it?"
"Not at the moment because you're on top of me raping me and I would like you to stop."
"Do the work. Therapy and self-care is sexy."

We've been dealing with a decade of genuinely awful cultural shit, and the people who instigated it just want to move on because they do have souls, and therefore know deep down that they were wrong, just like with how they won't talk about Lockdown anymore, and can't face that part of them that's still human. When your culture is deny deny deny you don't see that admitting that there is an objective truth as well as your own subjective one you're walking around with in your head all day is what being human is. We need to normalize keeping shit to yourself again. Think you're a 1940s pin-up model in your head all you want, just please wear pants and keep food out of your beard around the rest of us.

And Nancy Mace is perfect for this because a twice-divorced lady in her mid-40s representing a bunch of beach towns is 100% wild and has some kind of stories out there so just watch all of the Nu-Womyn slut shame her.

I appreciate the GOP finding their backbone thanks to Trump, but we are going to need a bit more than this once the governing actually begins. This is a scientific and medical scandal before it is a political scandal. We need action to ensure universities and the medical field are operating only in empirical reality. We need pushback within those fields to ensure science is studying the observable physical world with falsifiable hypothesis, not rubber stamping declarations of faith. A person is the sex they can be observed to be, not the one they have a belief they are, because that is the world of religion. Government grants need to be made conditional on this. As long as doctors and scientists are saying transwomen are women it puts the opposed politicians in a bad spot. Republicans don't win this kind of fight from the position of the Christian right which is what they get boxed into if they are working against a scientific consensus (even a false one). They have to win it from the perspective of being correct in observable physical reality. This will require scientists and doctors to be putting out more stuff like the Cass Review and the people willing to do it need to know someone will have their backs. Frankly, the Cass Review did not go nearly far enough.

Legislators could probably do some things to also help swing the doors wide open for lawsuits against the doctors responsible for this.

Those of us on the British side of the pond find even more to enjoy from her name. A ‘nancy’ (usually ‘nancy-boy’) describes an effeminate, gay as a Malibu hairdresser type of man. One that wears a dress and makes you feel uncomfortable. She’s literally clubbing these freaks WITH HER NAME and it makes me smile at just how appropriate it all sounds. Get your mace Nancy and mace those nancy’s!

I’ll see myself out.
