I get that prosecutors want plea deals because it saves them time and money. Nick did hint to Melton that what the state was offering "isn't perfect" which implies that he's trying to negotiate, but do you really think that Nick's most recent behaviour is going to persuade the state to offer anything better than what they've already put on the table?

This will go to trial, either because Nick's ego will demand it, or because Nick will get arrested again and the state will demand jail time.

I'm pretty sure Zaiger spent ED money on that. It's possible Randazza didn't get fully paid but he certainly drained any coffers that were available. The other thing is, while any communication between Aaron and his attorney might qualify as interesting in the broad sense of the term, violating that form of privacy is so scummy that I flat out refuse to read any of it if it were to ever leak.
