Even if we accept that Trump will be the worst leader the world has ever seen, as a thought experiment...there's still about 2 months until he takes office. Two months is a long-ass time. He could drop dead before then. Vance could get hit by a truck. Anything could happen.

The thing about manuals makes me think he might literally be autistic. He really craves order in some ways. That might be why he can't break free of his hours of copy-pasting "child" to people.
Also it's really common for friendly countries to provide at least training to each other. The FBI & RCMP for example will send people to developing countries, or host people, to show them what functioning law enforcement looks like. No organization is perfect but generally speaking they're less corrupt in some places and they go demonstrate that for them.
So if everything goes to shit, Patrick thinks that what, in 4 years the UK, Canada, France - no one would loan us some of their org charts or trainers to remind us of how things are done? No university labs would send some professors as consultants "this is how you do food safety testing if you want to set up an FDA again."
We've literally been the world's trainer on some of these functions. He thinks the knowledge will disappear & no one would return the favor? He's such a strange, isolated little man.
