I am convinced, too. I became especially convinced upon reading the testimony that Nick’s father gave in one of the child protective services case transcripts. It’s crystal fuckin’ clear that Nick is the little prince of his parents eye. The little prince who gets his way & everything handed to him. I also think that Nicks tired, worn out, constantly on repeat excuses are the same ones he’s been playing his entire life, to his delight. Especially during his adult life. He’s So. Busy. Just buy his bullshit & it’ll be alright for the exalted little Prince just biding his time.
I fucking loathe his parents.
If anything I find them more disgusting than Nick.
And not just because they’re cringy boomers filling their lives with distractions pretending they’re 35. (I fucking guarantee that they swing.)
Nick, at the end of the day, isn’t that complicated of a character. He’s a lazy narc who wants some pussy, and was trapped into a life he doesn’t want.
It’s his parents enabling him that has created the sad cuck we see today.
It’s because of his parents that Nick chooses ridiculous lies as a first resort. After all: “I’m really busy with stuff!” Has worked his entire life on them.
It’s because of his parents that Nick is IN this situation at all. They’ve never taught him self discipline and raised him him into a degenerate.
And rather than admitting that their son is a spineless sexual weirdo, and either letting him fend for himself, or given him a small fuck-off allowance so he could live in Ecuador or wherever the whisky and pussy is cheap, they (with the help of the trust fund) helped create the untenable situation where Nick has five kids he doesn’t want, and a wife unable to take care of any of them.
These fucking boomer retards go see their son, ignore the pilled out wife in bed, ignore the mess and the kids all on their iPads in their dirty clothes, they IGNORE the slam piece who’s fucking their son. And on the rare occasion where they MAY summon the courage to go: “Hey son… Is everything OK?” They nod and go “OK, that makes sense! Don’t forget to do your taxes!” When Nick says “It’s FIIIINE DAD! I’m just STRESSED!”
