The question is, how long will Nintendo Music last? Clearly the only people downloading the app are turbo autists which fortunately make a very small percentage of the population.
It runs of a paid subscription and unlike the chatting app will not cause issues. I can see it sticking around until the move from the Switch systems and demand you make yet another account. I’d assume 6 years
Is Nintendo Music just its own thing on its own servers? Lame.
It’s its own App, yes.

I love Nintendo but goodness gracious are they obsessed with niggers in their commercials. They make the worst ones, that's one thing the other companies do better than Nintendo.
Americanda's no-smith-mundt-(((government))) has a 4x nigger over-representation quota for all ads.

A kid mentioned this today and yesterday in class, this idea seems so fucking retarded. Though it adds to the infinite pile of reasons to emulate and have a decent storage drive to go with it for when the tech kikes nuke the last of the free Internet. The anti-consumer future we've been corralled into (/allowed) makes me question how far these assholes will really go in time. Nintendo, I already have data for nearly every one of your games <2017, I'm not paying for fucking video game music, though I will enjoy how amazing F-Zero GX's ost is for paying respect to the results screen from F-Zero.

Man I just wanted to see people shit on Nintendo Music

Seems pointless, it might of been cool way back then as a concept but now when anyone can just download and create a playlist in under a minute and for free, it seems redundant
And just like with wearing merch in public, listening to video game music in public especially fucking Nintendo, seems like a good way to put a target on your back for bullying if you're in school or getting strange looks elsewhere
the spoiler thing is kinda neat as well as the self extender but both of those could just be implemented into other music players normally or in the case of downloaded files maybe marking game songs in soundtracks diffrently or some shit

A music app that Nintendo owns and therefore is not reliant on other people’s infrastructure makes sense. Also means tgey can add or tweek features whenever they need or want.

It also means they don’t have to be troubled by the child listening to something and the next song on the list is german nazi death metal randomly. .

And because it requires Online, it practically pays for itself to exist. And most Seitch users get it for free as they already have Online.

Really, it will only be backwards if they close it after a year or two.

That’s the thing. No one was corralled into this. People asked for it without understanding what they would be giving up in return. People by and large don’t care about owning things. They care about being able to use things when ever they want. And that’s the only time people get mad at such models. When for the briefest period, usually not deliberately, they can’t do that.

You weren’t paying anyway. This was always a bonus for people already paying for Onlinr. Because since it came out people have been asking for more benefit for paying for the base version.

And it was always more conviniance for the people that don’t know how to emulate or get the stuff otherwise, of which there are a lot of people.

It means they have all they keys, or rather want them. And frankly I don't want them having all the keys. They can have retards' shekels, but not mine, nor are they entitled to my shekels. And they shant be getting a single mite from me... except for Unicorn Overlord earlier this year. Damn that game was good.

All stemming from talk about a video game about it’s sexualisation.

Then wait till Switch 2 comes out or they have a console you do like. I somehow don’t think now Nintendo Music is a thing it is ever going away. Or just wait till there is enough content on the app to make it worth it.

This is honestly my gripe with them changing the Accounts from the Wii U to the Switch. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to access it if you have a Nintendo related Account.

Just do what Spotify does. Run adds if your account does not have a sub to Nintendo Online, Maybe restrict ‘download to listen offline’ etc as well.
I just don't want to be forced into paying for Nintendo Switch Online just to access the music. Make a separate subscription that is just the music and I'll sign up.

And died so quickly, it closed after 2 years. The question is, how long will Nintendo Music last? Clearly the only people downloading the app are turbo autists which fortunately make a very small percentage of the population.
I also wonder how wide the collection is. If it's just popular mainline Nintendo games, what's the fucking point? I want Rhythm Heaven stuff.

Every time a Nintendo leak happens, I search for uncompressed versions of the Covers that were made for Elite Beat Agents. Jason Paige's covers of Canned Heat, and Walkie Talkie Man are awesome.

Just download the music yourself, fuckers. As if thats any different from what you were already doing. I can blame Nintendo for a lot of things, including how retarded their selection and pricing is, but not selling out to Jewify is not one of them.

I ended up getting a 7 day free trial to Nintendo Switch Online. Here is the song selection and some random rambling by me.
Metroid (12 Tracks)
Metroid (Famicom Disk System) (12 Tracks)
Super Mario Bros. (16 Tracks)
Kirby's Dream Land (15 Tracks)
Dr. Mario (8 Tracks)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (26 Tracks)
Donkey Kong Country (26 Tracks)
Zelda OOT (82 Tracks)
Star Fox 64 (39 Tracks)
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade (100 Tracks, Bitcrushed. Sounds worse than an actual GBA)
Metroid Prime (36 Tracks, slightly compressed? hard to tell, the volume is very fucky with these files.)
Tomodachi Collection (62 Tracks, NOT Bitcrushed, sounds like the OG recording)
Nintendogs (50 Tracks, Bitcrushed)
Super Mario Galaxy (81 Tracks, very slight compression sounds about the same as the Wii)
Wii Channels (62 Tracks, Some are compressed, some sound better than the OG depends on the track)
Super Mario Bros. Wonder (86 Tracks)
Pikmin 4 (153 Tracks)
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet (199 Tracks)
Splatoon 3 (118 Tracks)
Animal Crossing: New Horizons (407 Tracks)
Kirby Star Allies (213 Tracks)
Super Mario Odyssey (136 Tracks)
Mario Kart 8 (149 Tracks)
Zelda BOTW (211 Tracks)
A lot of the files sound much better than what you would hear from the original hardware. Switch seems to have a noticeable improvement when compared. (Could just be a bad DAC in my switch, as I AB'ed a few tracks)
The OG Gameboy IMO had the biggest change. I'm thinking maybe it was re-recorded? It's not hard to convert NES and GB MIDI equivalent files and convert them to actual MIDI files, using community made tools.

It’s like $12 a year.

Why would you want a separate subscription, when it would risk being priced at apple music or spotify prices of $5 a month?
It means they have all they keys, or rather want them.
To be fair, if they want all the keys to their stuff, I can’t blame them. It is all very much their stuff. And it makes it much easier than going through a third party.

It's $20 USD a year, and it includes shit I'll never use like Switch online, legal emulation (Illegal emulation is miles better). I just want the music. I don't use the switch, don't have a reason to use one.
