However, I don't think Twain would therefore argue that nonsensical arguments are automatically correct. If nothing else, this is an incomplete rubric, because there are infinitely many nonsensical theories and they can't all be right.

The Pests who sent prank emails didn't even know Rick had actually emailed this to them. They thought he had only posted it on Twitter.
So MSG received a bunch of crank-mail from proton addresses in addition to Rick's own email with his own contact information and then his replies to the Pest emails with everyone tagged that said "this is where your life ended."
No wonder the cops were called.

So Rick had to explain to NYPD that even though yes, he was responsible for the psychotic email he sent, they were being manipulated by criminal cyberstalkers and he was actually the victim and they were harassing the wrong person.
