The dead generators and the repossessed propane tanks were absolutely hysterical to me. The vengeful alpaca spirits were nibbling on the field coils in those gennies just to get back at those filthy trannies.

The worst part is it just doesn't hit the same if you go back and read the thread. Finding out what happened each day was part of my morning and bedtime routine. Sure, it was a little bit of an annoying franchise to follow because you needed to follow something like 5 threads by one point, and a lot of characters just faded away like the writers forgot about them entirely and we never got new issues in a few threads, but as predictable as it could be there were so many twists out of nowhere that you just were on the edge of your seat. Waiting for what happened next. You don't get that anymore.

It truly was something you had to be there for to get the best ride out of it. You could maybe approximate something like the original experience if you came up with a crazy read order for when you should jump between each of the threads, but it will never be the same. Too bad we never got the cinematic special as the finale. I was waiting for that finale to be in the news. Robbed I tell you. Robbed. All the current arcs are so lame, but we might get surprise return to form. Just need to get the old writers back.
 
So many things had to come together for the tranch to work: Penny needed a one-time windfall in the form of Paul and his mom to acquire the property. COVID had to trap an anxious and gullible audience in the house and on social media so that the tranch could pull in significant donations. They needed a pliant and unquestioning media to push them as a group of offgrid leftists defying all expectations and not a collection of coomers in dresses. They needed a backdrop of leftwing fear about fascist takeovers to stoke their own paranoia and the paranoia of their supporters. They needed useful idiots in the form of free labor.

Those days are all gone. Or at least they're gone for the tranch. The people that used to donate to them have turned on them. Their friends in the media forgot they exist. What capital they had they burned up. They're going to have to pass the torch onto the next band of grifters. I just hope it's something equally stupid but entertaining. Like pooner seasteaders
 
Kev did nothing on the Tranch but his impact was huge (huger than his forehead) because after all, his relentless horny AGP mind and social media addiction attracted us to the Tranch in the first place. There probably would have been talk about the Tranch on here anyway, but Kev's habit of oversharing really gave us a treasure trove for a while. Watching Penny and Paul thump their chests and take photos of their guns and threatening It was really something that would end in a bang or a whimper, and it ended up being the latter.

Tranch could end up being an amusing documentary but not the kind of documentary they wanted.

There’s already a documentary! More than one if you count some of the video puff pieces by Vice and others.

 
I think a documentary that shows the Tranch in a negative light would be brilliant, even if it's meant to be a cautionary tale for fellow troons and pooners.

But even the puff pieces make them look bad.

The community here reacting at the same time was what made it really special. I miss sperging about renewable energy and off grid living as evidence of each fuckup emerged. I miss reading about subjects I had no knowledge of like Alpaca husbandry and desert cultivation. I miss being outraged at the audacious grifts. I miss the occasional glance into small town Colorado life that they were such aliens to.

The real Tenacious Unicorn Ranch was the friends we made along the way.
 
I value the KF members who offer insights via sperging about specific things in relevant threads. No other thread would bring together gun spergs, farming/homesteading spergs, and Transformers spergs.

Been a bit since my last update, but my skitzo popped back up and he's way more interesting then Jen. Still, times almost up for his recovery period after the revision surgery, so I checked in. Unfortunately expectations have lowered, instead of penetration, he's now going to be ready for the bidet.
