They can't directly say that Trump is going to ban women from the workplace and put them back in the kitchen; so they go for aesthetics, costumes and doom music.

My sneaking suspicion is a bunch of LA progressives wanted to endorse Jill Stein and the green party, and the democrat that owns the paper said fuck no because a viable far-left third party would force a party split. Between the pro-Palestine vote (Muslim or otherwise), and the expected depressed democrat turn out, the Green Party has a good chance of getting 5% of the vote and getting federal funding because of it. Which would destroy the democrats as anything beyond a regional party as all the far-left enclaves like LA would vote Green from then on.

I've always respected how Nixon managed to deny the Democrats the satisfaction of removing himself from office by resignation.
 
This is something I've been seething about for a few days and I'm finally calm enough to share it.

They initially tried smearing Vance as racist, but the attack fell flat due to his wife being Indian and having mixed-race kids. I'm not going to discount people being tired of that claim, but it still would be going on otherwise.

It makes me furious that the only way to "prove" yourself as not racist is to race mix.

I know I'm just venting and not providing anything worthy of discussion, but God Almighty does it make me absolutely irate. I might even hate it more than I hate journos.

Truthfully, you shouldn't trust either. However, in a free market capitalist system you have a choice of greedy businessmen or even starting a business yourself if you think you can do a better job than any that exist. The government is no different than any other monopoly. It may not be completely terrible, but it has little incentive to be good. History has shown that state controlled economies have vastly underperformed free markets.

Every week the FBI is arresting people for plans of political violence, and sometimes those people aren't even working for them. Every irresponsible voice and institution in the country has spent eight years insisting that a Trump presidency would lead to a catastrophic fascist takeover. At this point they are doing it on purpose, since liquidating parts of the country into bodies and rubble creates new investment opportunities, but also they want to study how mob rule can be used to eliminate outsiders or political rivals.
