Nick wasn't charged with using cocaine, so he's not admitting to anything with which he was actually charged.
No offense, but that is such a Nick statement. In fact, I am pretty sure it has been a Nick statement on more than one occasion.

Yes, it's technically true, but it's probably a really bad idea to confess that you are a cocaine user, after 26 grams was found in your closet, and then expect people to believe it's not yours. It's not a direct confession to the crime, sure, but it has the effect of damaging ones potential defenses.

Until yesterday, Nick would not even admit he was using cocaine. That's a new wrinkle.

Camelot seems the most likely because he is the least trustworthy of any of them.
Yeah, right now, he'd be my #1 pick too. Based on the limited info I have.

Plus he probably really wants to get in the good graces of Andrew because he wants that vTuber bussy. Wasn't Camelot crying that LM, or one of his mods, banned him from his channel so he couldn't harass/creep on the vtubers in chat?

Incidentally, Camelot, a nominal Rekieta ally, claimed that Nick had a pretty severe coke habit (to the tune of $20,000/month, if he's to be believed) long before Nick did. He has a big fucking mouth.

There are other possibilities though.

He's seemed like he's back using mild altering substances for a while now.

A suspended sentence seems the most likely outcome and that won't necessarily entail any kind of close supervision. Even if he's given probation, how much he can get away with depends on how it operates in his jurisdiction.

Nick wasn't charged with using cocaine, so he's not admitting to anything with which he was actually charged.
But when you are charged with having a mountain of blow in your bedroom, openly saying "yep ai did a mountain of blow" tends to undermine your "that cokes not mine. It must belong to the 9 year old" defense.

I think Andrew is making a big mistake mixing his weeb vTuber stuff with legal commentary.

He should keep two separate channels for each content.
I actually like listening to his legal analysis, because he has been mostly correct. (But he has shown that he will comment on things without fully understanding the context and gets things wrong)

If he wants to comment on Nick he should banish the vCringe waifus before doing any lawyer analysis.
I couldn't agree more. I really like his takes on law but this v tuber shit and weeb stuff is just...idk. I can't really even enjoy watching any of it. I know it's a niche he's familiar with but man I feel like he has a lot more to offer on the Disney front etc.

I don't get where the optimism today came around a deal. I see the same moron, spouting off without thought to consequences.

Nick's not taking a plea deal. Source: he's a retard.

I'll be really surprised if he does. I'm not completely ruling out him taking a deal and then bragging about how it was the best deal ever because he's so smart, but I think it's a lot more likely that he believes he can go and win a trial.

I don't really mind him or anyone else doing vTuber legal shit. There probably is a market for it.

I personally won't watch it, but I certainly won't sit here and claim nobody else will. I am aware vTubers are popular. I think the vTuber phenomenon is stupid (possibly a product of my age), but a lot of people seem to feel otherwise. It is what it is.

I just think he should better separate it out from his other legal content to avoid alienating a demographic that is not there for such content. That's all.

Probably gonna be my last reply on this particular tangent, as it is indeed a tangent and perhaps best saved for the Lawtube thread.

I think that plea deal is one of many possibilities, but clearly *something* happened to give old Nick some confidence to venture from his cope cave. He thinks he has a W he can smugly hold over his haters. Even if he cannot or will not announce it yet, he is just ecstatic that at some point he will drop... the THING... and totally destroy his alogs.

Well that's what I meant (as in---i agree with keeping it separate). And in particular, I watched that take he had on Nick earlier and he had a couple of vtubers on the video....and it was just jarring hearing their weird high pitch fake voices and seeing these cartoons in the video boxes alongside himself, a professional lawyer.

His dubs of late have been as concrete as the 5k Locals gift or that renewed Rumble contract.

He could still accept one, possibly, if he was offered one and the state considers it reasonable. But the typical path is the plea gets worse and worse the closer we get to trial. Assuming Nick was offered one along with Kayla some months ago, today's will not be as good.

Above said, I put the odds of Nick accepting a plea below 1%.

Even if he anticipates being offered a plea deal, incriminating yourself in public feels like a brutally idiotic move to make.

Also, Mersh hinted that there's already a coordinated effort being formed to rehabilitate Nick Rekieta's public image by launching a dogpile against Aaron Imholte in order to make him into the greater villain of the two, adding that Nick Rekieta is "actually likeable" and that no one cares about neglecting his starving, stinky children. The full clip is an hour, but he lays it out so specifically that it has to be something that's being discussed behind the scenes.

I clicked off when I saw the vTubers.

I was in Weebwars for two years, and consider myself something of a casual anime fan, and even *I* find this shit cringe.

Overall, I don't really find LM's analysis helpful in most cases. Particularly when viewed alongside Sean's.
There's something oddly surreal and vaguely disconcerting about Andrew giving summaries of drama in his calm, boring "lawyer" voice surrounded by v-tuber rigs going through various animations and punctuated by squeaky uwu e-girls.
Which is fine, when that's the subject, but please banish them back to hell before doing NON vtuber legal analysis.

Oh, you fools, you goobers, simpletons, and knuckleheads. It's so much funnier than that. I actually watched one of the streams Legal Mindset was doing with vtubers who he was using as laymen for his streams during the Sarah Boone trial (I think it was literally yesterday, in fact)...but there's one catch: in the clip Legal Mindset posted, the redhead with the elf ears is not just a vtuber, she is a lawyer, and she therefore isn't a layman. And not only is she a lawyer, she's a practicing attorney who does the vtuber shit on the side for fun, who got into being a vtuber because of Legal Mindset.

She knows about Nick Rekieta's case. And she's following his case with interest. And she's said he needed to plead out immediately because it looks really fucking bad for him.

Nick is at a stage where there is at least one vtuber who is practicing law more than he is, and they're dunking on him. They're not even wrong for it, and that makes it even better. You don't have to like vtubers to appreciate he's getting dunked on by someone in a demographic he tried to smear as pedophiles because a pink rabbit turned him down (because he was acting like a fucking sped), and she's in the same professional field too.

In the third-world country where I live, there's an expression derived from an old practice. To get a herd of cattle across a river filled with piranhas, you choose one cow to sacrifice and distract the piranhas while the rest of the herd crosses safely. This sacrificial cow is called a "boi de piranha" (piranha cow). To me, it's clear that Rekieta has been trying to turn Aaron into a "piranha cow" for quite some time now.

This doesn't even seem like a gay op because of how retarded it is, maybe he genuinely forgot he made those chat messages and said they were fake, before finding out they were real and sticking to it.

Even after the "SEEAANNNNNN" blame it all just seems so wet brained, I can't even imagine him trying to pull such a pathetic attempt at a gay op, this is a drunk chat message cover up cope or he really didn't remember saying that shit.
This is my take. He sees the messages, completely forgets he sent them and chimps out, then what remains of his brain kicks in and he quickly deletes the tweet. Then he punches himself in the head for being so STUPID STUPID STUPID

Unfortunately, nobody who would actually be willing to defend Rekieta these days is actually likable. Nobody.

That includes Mersh.

Oh noes, it's the combined Army of Dick Masterson, Mersh, and Patty Melton. Nick critics eternally felted! Kiwifarms felted!

Knowing Mersh, he's probably ass-blasted Metokur went in on Nick for being such a jackass. He's got the same extreme hangup on Jim that Ralph has. Right down to routinely wishing for Jim's death.

He's seemed like he's back using mild altering substances for a while now.
It's hard to know whether any of his retarded behavior at this point is due to new substances he's abusing, or if it's because of the giant holes in his brain that got bored out by cocaine and RFK-style brainworms
I'd start with listing those we know who we know are in touch with Nick or who are likely in touch with Nick. Those include: Nate, TUG, Megan, Branca, NinaInfinity, Barnes, EVS, StarWarsGirl, Chrissie, Camelot, Melton, and Vices.

What about DUI guy? I know he offered to help Nick, but was there actually any lawyer/client relationship established there that would prevent him sharing information with someone like Mindset?

God, if I were Nicky I'd just shoot myself at this point, assuming the cops didn't confiscate the gun safe.

There can be no greater shame than having an NFT mocking you for the colossal fuckup that is your life, especially when they're more actively involved in your own career field than you are.

That sounds epic. All Aaron's assorted alogs and loser enemies joining together into a super-gang.

Banded together from remote galaxies, are thirteen of the most sinister villains of all time — The Legion of Doom — dedicated to a single objective: the conquest of Aaron Imholte.

No group is really necessary to counter this threat. This is the challenge of the Balldo Lolcows!

Mersh! Geno! Melton! Chrissie Mayr! Dirt-eating Anna! Keanu! Redbar! Ethan Van Sciver! Dax! Vito! Riley! Ethan Ralph! Robert Barnes! Nina Infinity!

Do you have a timestamp for when he mentions this coordinated effort around Nick's image?
I'm immediately skeptical since it's coming from Mersh the cat burglar, but I love the idea of Nick assembling a crack team of retards to help him take down Aaron. Melton, Mersh, and Ralph a few of the only people I can think of with public images worse than Nicks. :story:

I do think Nick is wetbrained enough to believe if people "turn on" Aaron they'll suddenly love him again. It still hasn't set in that he's never coming back from this. Keep trying though Nick, your gay little plans are pure lolcow gold.

Hey, if Mersh is serious about forming a grand army to rehabilitate Nick's image, and make Aaron the ultimate bad guy, I got some free advice for him.

No bullshit. No reverse psychology.

Step one ought to be figuring out a way to make Patrick Melton disappear off the face of the Earth.

Melton is so vile, the only thing he is accomplishing right now is engendering sympathy for Aaron even among people who don't like Aaron. Simultaneously, he's also helping making people despise Rekieta even more.

The alternative is to convince Rekieta to distance himself from Melton, and that involves convincing Nick to make a good decision concerning who he associates with for once. Good fucking luck with that!
