Is that true? I thought the blindness was just temporary or something? That's so sad if so and can't believe he'd kill his channel when he's dealing with something like that.

Looks like someone on Reddit has dropped a torrent with all of his content gathered with yt-dlp, 3tb in total. I haven't verified the content of the torrent, but comes from a subreddit based on archiving old/lost media.

As you might be aware, ReviewTechUSA has deleted his channel, with 5.5k videos that span as far back as 2009 I wanted to make sure that it wasn't lost forever.
I've made it a Hybrid BTv1+2 format for ease of partial seeding. using 16M pieces for older client compatibility.
videos are downloaded in YT-DLP's default format (generally best).
all videos are grouped in years, video metadata is embedded in the mp4 header itself (thumbnail, title, description, publish date). additionally included is a zip file with the metadata in .info.json and .nfo formats for those who want it. this is as reasonably complete as I could get it.
I will be seeding this from my home gigabit connection, not a seedbox, so be patient. it is 3TB of data after all.

I've found this, not sure if it's helpful, but there is still a chance to recover your channel after deletion:

As for how long you can still recover your channel I couldn't find any info, but once I read somewhere it's 30 days.

I think AVGN's last truly good video was the Jurassic Park Trespasser video. It's just been downhill since then. I think he got his movie deal and then just soft retired.

I really liked the Mega Man one where he goes back in time and stuff. While I get the whole point of the episode was that he would keep going, but I felt it would've been a great final episode. Then going forward, just do the occasional special event one-off episode.

IIRC his daughter had an eye infection, and the doctor prescribed a very strong antibiotic eye drops. He did follow the doctors orders but it ended up destroying cells in the eye. Having an eye infection is bad enough because it's an immune privileged area. So there isn't an immune response to fight the infection. That's why strong antibiotic eye drops are needed, but this can be a double edged sword and start destroying the cone and rod cells in the eye,I'm not sure if those can repair themselves.
