He's already outright said that innocent people take plea deals all the time because they can't afford either the time or money to fight. He's now going to play both sides of this: he'll fight with the argument that he can afford to to maintain his innocence and show how corrupt the state is with "I need to set a good example to my children and fight for truth, justice and the American way." Then he'll change it to "I couldn't let the state deprive my children of their childhood and their parents for any longer. I will suffer any injustice to protect my kids. As I commented awhile ago I think Nick falls on the vulnerable weakling side of NPD. He does have an inflated sense of self importance, and low empathy typical of a pathological narcissist, but he also has shown typical traits of a Borderline (BPD). Extreme impulsivity and reckless behavior (drugs, booze, swinging) According to Aaron frequent fits of angry rage, and also self harm (hitting himself in the head) Paranoia and disassociation from reality (muh government is after me! conspiracy!!) He married Kayla young, so he doesn't have a pervasive pattern of unstable relationships, but I think one he's definitely hiding is his extreme fear of abandonment. It would help explain why he is still with her after this dysfunctional shit show of public embarrassment. Also she's definitely a toxic codependent herself. It's called the co dependent narcissist trap. They're both probably trauma bonded to each other. Toxic attracts toxic, and their kids are going to have problems because of their selfish decisions.

At the risk of sounding like a record on repeat, I believe Nick has some issue with women--to the point that he is especially vicious and bothered by them. It might be a general misunderstanding of them or attitude that projects that is disturbing to them, but he seems to make a lot of female enemies and put more time into addressing them than the male ones. His interactions with ElissaClips, Cynthia, LegalBytes, Monica, ClaireBear, Pippa, myself, and others seemed a lot more targeted and ongoing when he knew he had a direct line to insult and provoke. He engaged regularly with them in back-and-forth spats, until they were no longer responding or they starved him of attention

I've speculated 'mummy issues' before, and I will put the theory out again. The alternative is that he either just has a very skewed view of women, or that all of them are just more sensitive to his barbs than the men he just called 'cucks'.
