I don't think this outcome is surprising at all. LOCALS can't be a good business for Rumble (Rumble isn't a good business for Rumble, but they are making do on conservative feels invesors), since the only people I have seen on LOCALS are Potentially Sean and people whose presence in the world is too distasteful for patreon, ko-fi, and the other platforms that are more mainstream. It's all MGTurds, far rightoids, and druggies. This is not a good crowd to associate with.

LOCALS also has worse economics than Rumble. It still needs to host a bunch of videos to send to you, it hosts chats, and those videos and chats are subsidized by a very small cut of content creator earnings. Even Rumble gets a bigger slice of the pie than LOCALS. The only platform that gives creators more is Kick, and that's because Kick is one big gambling ad that operates at an intentional loss. Rumble also gets some economies of scale that LOCALS does not have, even considering that it is on Rumble servers.

Make no mistake, Nick Rekieta and his ilk - their "star" creators - are the cherry on top of the shit sundae. Anyone considering signing up to start a LOCALS community has Nick Rekieta and Barnes and both of their utterly dysfunctional chats as the examples of what they are getting. A great deterrent to participation.

The best demonstration was during Nick's stream with Fuddbusters (the more recent one with the spinning rat avatar), I'd noticed he'd been saying them as cope words for a while but it was especially egregious then, and I genuinely urge you to watch the stream yourself to see what I mean.

Things that a normal person would (at best) find peculiar or (at worst) fucking degenerate, Nick describes as "funny". Nick considers going to a gay bar "funny", and underwear parties at said gay bar (and also in general) "hilarious". Getting stepped on at a convention is "funny". Rumors of cuckoldry are "funny".

When someone criticizes Nick or does something he generally dislikes, he calls them "weird". Null was being "weird" regarding Drexel. People thinking he's a fucking creep for doing underwear parties in his 40s are "weird". People speculating (with a fuckload of evidence) he was swinging and doing drugs are "weird". Unpleasant rumors (which came out to be true) are "weird".

Funny and weird are memes because they're cope words Nick beat to death (much like the wildlife in his neighborhood) because Nick is too much of a passive aggressive vagina to say what he wants to, so he has to say things that don't sound as aggressive. Like wanting people to make a million dollars.

I think it's either that Kayla was semi-normal when she was in like, say, high school, and she and Nick descended together over the years, or she's the BPD Harley to his Joker LARP all along. I do think anyone who's had experience with a narcissist should know how they chip away at trust over time and impose their beliefs on anyone close to them.
