As an adult, how is Halloween even relevant aside from Steam sales and seasonal marked-up pumpkin spice lattes at cafes? It's not like your 30 year old ass is gonna go out and trick-or-treat.

I literally don't get it and I'm not even trolling...

EDIT: Due to immensely valuable feedback I've decided to give it a shot and I've dressed up as the scariest monster I know.

It's all about the candy. I'll wheel and deal with the best of them at the kid's table and all the jealous adults can be pissy about my awesome trades.

The day itself? It's okay. Costumes are hit and miss. Boobs on display though!

Why do we need 100 different threads dedicated to Halloween? Pick one.

I never imagined it's that big of a deal in America. Thought it's just a month of selling plastic skeletons at Walmart and not much else IRL.

Put a sheet over you head and stand ominously at street corners at dusk for the rest of the month. Chase anyone who approaches you.

I want to scare the Indian students at my local university. I'm planning to dress up as a mummy using toilet paper. If the mummy doesn't scare them, the hygiene item on display certainly will.

There you go. You've got a game plan. Now get out there and get arrested for terrorizing your local pajeets!

It's not really been a thing anywhere I've lived.

The UK has been unusual in there being an active attempt to make it a thing, but it being sidelined as offensive. Never came across it anywhere else, though I hear it has started to become a thing in South Korea the past couple of years.

Can't be much else than indifferent about something I never encounter.

If you don't like Halloween than you don't have a soul.

I guess I will have to give it a shot. Please try not to be spooked too hard by my avatar, it's just dress-up I am not actually black (thank God).

No, my ass will dress up, go to some Halloween party and fuck a random woman in a slutty witch costume.
I'm gonna have to close this thread because I'm not so indifferent anymore

I basically ignore all holidays at this point. I'm not against celebrating them, but I can't muster up the energy to care either.
Kill anti-Halloween niggers. Behead anti-Halloween niggers. Roundhouse kick anti-Halloween niggers into the Witches' cauldron.
Not a hate thread.

It's a spooky season with a spooky mood. To participate you just have to be a little spookier than usual. Maybe what's nice about it is that actually the world's pretty spooky all the time, but Halloween is the only time of the year where that fact is embraced.

It's the best season, perhaps tied with Christmas. Christmas is the second spookiest holiday due to its association with winter and mysticism.

That isn't surprising, and it's also why Halloween is the people's holiday.
Bug people/their handlers do not like or understand it since they have no soul and dislike the implication of social discord involved in tricking, treating, and scaring; the fact that people in the UK are offended by it should be all anyone needs to hear to know it's a good thing.
It has become popular due mostly to the fact people enjoy it rather than because it's especially corporate or politically correct.
