Somewhere out there someone is going on a hooker and cocaine binge with embezzled funds because Dustborn looks like shit. They did not spend 10 million making it, it looks worse than free hentai games.

Wherever all that money went. they won't have to give a dime back.

That's part of what makes that game so good. You really can just do whatever the fuck you want with the NPCs. They included all sorts of shit that would be considered woke in any other game but they refused to steal your agency. Put as many bear fucking options in the game as you want but let me say no or throw the fucker off a cliff and we're golden. I imagine the fags at WotC were pissed that you could do that in the first place.

Compare that to what I heard about Dustborn, where there's a scene where you're forced to unlock your 'bully' power by forcing some NPC to look at data or whatever. If that was just an option I'd be fine with that but it's not, it's part of the story you have to play through. Can't even call that playing the game at that point because you're just watching a story some retard wrote. It's probably because they know most people won't want to do that and wouldn't want to do most of the other shit in the game.

That's what confounds me about these people trying to take over TTRPGs of all things. I could take the new D&D books content from apps that are going to get leaked right now with all their messaging and pictures of kind orcs and throw all of that out the window. Tell the group the orcs they're fighting are drooling mongoloids birthed form pits of shit driven to madness by the eternal chirps of the vile wizard Smokus Alarmus (immune to fire) and there's nothing some exec could do about it.

Let me know when you are running the game.

Smokus Alarmus you say.... *takes wind spell*.. "I fashion the sealing wax from my scroll kit into ear plugs!"

"What are you going to do with your 500 atoms?"

"Light wood laminate! Light wood laminate!"

@Jaimas and now all those diversity hires go to other jobs in the industry catered to them by like minded people. That or they go back into the shadows to wait for the next DEI initiative to come around.

Well, yes, they pretty clearly are. I have coworkers who put pronoun shit in their e-mail signatures even though they're fairly normal, decent people who just want to be left alone, I know for a fact they don't give a shit about tranny shit. But it's still a kind of a warning sign: "I am a pushover, a total coward with no principles and no integrity. I cannot be counted on, I will fold to the slightest of pressures."

Perhaps. It doesn't matter. Those cowardly scum will stab you in the back and destroy your career to save themselves. That's what they're saying. They're saying they're loyal. It doesn't matter what they actually believe if they'll stab you in the back to prove their loyalty.

This is why you can't trust them. They're openly announcing themselves as Judas scum.

If you express any disagreement, they will gladly rat you out and have you destroyed.
So what you’re saying is, “in order to make the world better, the world must become more like Kiwi Farms”.

Bought the game (tbh I'll probably never get around to playing the game) and left a positive review, because I hate faggots so much it's unreal.
I'm doing my part!

I've decided to delete my review and ask for a refund.
The homosexual review bombing fizzled out and the developer sort of cucked out in his latest community update. I understand why he did it, but I gave him faggot hating money and if there's no faggot hating, then there's no reason to hand over my money.
In retrospect, I realized this was a knee jerk reaction and I was retarded.
I didn't knew anything about the game or developer and I don't even like the game itself. Doing this shit, without any solid foundation or belief, just to support "my side" makes me feel embarrassed, because of the realization that in this particular scenario, I was no better then some pronoun tranny.
It didn't help that I started to remember examples of people and studios that purposefully created drama, so they would generate sales based on politics, instead of the game's own merit.
My cope and sneed is that in true gamer fashion, I didn't like my choices, so I hit Quick Reload to an earlier save and made another choice.

Did you guys experience something like this? Do you give money out of spite or do you just browse until there's a game with a mix of good gameplay and based devs? How do you cope with the current year gaming ecosystem being mostly shit and full of opportunistic corporate kikes?

Outlaws has microtransactions? Why? It's single player and according to Legacykilia it's about eight hours long.
If it’s anything like latter day Assassin’s Creed games then the early to mid game is such a grind for XP that you get half tempted to chuck a few quid at it for a boost to get past all the shitty fetch quests and be the correct level to actually progress with the storyline.

Yea but Assassin's Creed is like 40 hours long and it can up to a hundred hours if you're a completionist.

I don't see how they could gate an eight hour game.

It bums me out that Sony will fund a piece of shit like Concord to the tune of 200 million but Vanillaware has run out of money three seperate times developing Dragon's Crown, Thirteen Sentinels, and now Unicorn Overlord.

In Unicorn Overlord's case the CEO funded the last stages of development out of his own pocket.

All of those are great high quality games too.
Sony funding UO would’ve been awful. I’m glad Soyny is burning money on bullshit nobody will ever play.

In short, backlog.
In long, I've gotten used to being a little short on money, which in turn means I've usually lagged behind on the newest releases. So I've learned patience and to spend money more carefully. Retarded devs are largely incapable of making the kinds of great (or even just good) games that I'm willing to .spend money on, thus if the game is good, the devs' politics rarely (if ever) play a role in my decisions. Plus staying behind I have ample opportunity to check out gameplay videos or whatever.

Ubisoft Connect, formally known as UPlay.

GROSS. The only Ubisoft games on my computer are Far Cry 1-3 & Blood Dragon, early ACs, and the first Watch Dogs. All pirated versions because that application is an abomination. Plus UPlay integration is broken on Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon, so you have to edit the game files just to make it stop trying to connect to long-dead servers upon every game launch (and when pausing for Blood Dragon) because otherwise it will waste tons of time trying to load menus and fail when it doesn't have to. Bad.

In my opinion, the only proper compensation for those people is to refund a decent portion of the extra pre-order money. However I'm a little torn on that since I mean, come on, you've had every advantage in learning prior to the game release what this was going to be. I find it hard to sympathize with those that paid $110 for Ubisoft Disney Star Wars slop just to get it a few days early, much less get it at all.

I pretty much just stopped getting most games post 2016-2018 with a few exceptions here and there, since in my opinion, most of them aren't worth the time. Especially now with ESG shit being so prevalent and in your face. Also now a lot of game reception seems to come down to whether it's woke or not, and even the non-woke ones look very mid, all while charging $60-$80 for them.

One positive to this is the whole "VRAM limitation" issue that came up from all these new games suddenly making older GPUs "obsolete" really doesn't apply to me at all. The most graphically intensive games I have are GTAV and Crysis 3, lol. So I really just don't care about buying expensive graphics cards, or wasting $70 on games I know I won't like. Even downgraded my 3080 to a 1080ti and pocketed the extra money in doing so. I'm good bro.

I understand why you did what you did, but no. I refuse to politicize video games to that extent. This is my hobby, not my life's mission.

I will refuse to buy an overly woke game if it sucks because of that wokeness, but if it's a fantastic game that happens to be loaded with DEI, well, I care more about the game then the politics. I'll buy (or pirate) it.

However, due to DEI policies mostly crippling the development process all the way from hiring to design, that conflict has yet to arise as every single woke-influenced game to date has been utter dogshit.

Are you fucking serious? Why does a game has to connect to a server when you pause?

Call me optimistic, but those extra notes make me think it's a joke.

I'm dead serious. lol

If they ever got around to patching it out since around like a year ago, I don't know, but that's how you had to fix it at least then (and I'm guessing now still, since their support for old games is dogshit). I still have the games in my Steam library, and it was indeed an issue, pirated or not.

So yeah, Ubisoft Connect (UPlay) is garbage, and by design makes the two best Far Cry games more annoying to play.
