It's a reference to an incident in the 90s where a 17-year old lied about his age to get booked in a wrassling match and nearly died after getting cut open with a surgical scalpel at his own request to look cool. I have no idea how this relates to Mercante but I'll generously assume OP means "By challenging adult men to fight her she's risking far more physical harm than she realises."

She constantly provokes people, and some of them are quite unpredictable and capable of various things, and that's her business and she does it to herself.
